Defense lets Calhoun down in the end

There are 1 comment on the Connecticut Post story from Dec 1, 2007, titled Defense lets Calhoun down in the end. In it, Connecticut Post reports that:

The head coach sat at the interview table deep inside the TD Banknorth Garden, doing his best, his very best, mind you, not to fly entirely off the handle. via Connecticut Post

This team is still soft. No other way around it. They need to see the whole picture and this is it. Their foot should have been on gonzaga's throat in the last four minutes. Attack the rim don't sit there and take three's? Pargo showed the aggression and won the game for a team that should not have won. Uconn has an rpi of 25 and gonzaga a measly 38. Gonzaga was pulling our guys down on rebounds that shows they are tired. You run at that team and fast break them until you have your foot on their throat. Adrien should be jamming thunder down on people and he's barely getting to the rim. Adrien needs to rattle the rim and show more aggression so these younger guys can see that is what's needed. Very little fire was seen from a team that was suposed to be really physical. Physical means when guys are coming towards your rim you are slapping them down hard. You get, your screens are like walls and the opponent is starting to feel their bones rattle, that is physical basketball and yes I forgot blood. I saw Robinson got his lip smashed and he was surprised by this. You go back and you get the guy maybe a hard foul maybe a solid screen or even slam it back into his face, you have to do these things to win. Until they grasp this fact they are just cupcakes! all I can say about this. Go Huskies get mean, thinking Detroit of the 1980's here! To be dominant you must dominate! I previously was Locas on Big east forum. some of you may have seen my post's
