Even though im stuck in pasco county, north of tampa (USF Bulls and Gaytor Country) i can even see the diamonds in the rough being discovered down in South Florida. FAU Football and UM Basketball is only things cheering for in South Florida right now, until that recruiting class of UM football starts paying dividends. Excited right now though, McClinton reminds me of Timmy Hardaway, anyone else see's it. Anyways, im sad to say that UM is going to be the heavy underdog against Texas (if they win), but then again, when arent UM basketball underdogs. GO CANES, make up for our sorry "professional" sports situation

FAU Football can compete with the U. The U just won't set up the time and place. They compete with FIU, because they know they can beat FIU. FAU will be rank in the preseason polls and they will finish being rank.

I love all the bitter "canes fans" that result to call names(gaytors). Try to get original and stop being so bitter. The canes will NEVER win back to back National Championships. Good luck in the second round. HAHAHA!!! GO GATORS!!!!!

I've yet to see a single Miami fan brag or claim that UM is going to win a basketball national championship or even make it very far. Most alumni and fans I know are happy to be in the tournament and even happier to have made it to the second round. In their hearts, I'd bet most don't really think we'll beat Texas, but we're pulling for our team anyway, just like every other fan of every other team does. Miami's basketball program has made alot of progress over the last two decades after being resurrected from hibernation. What I don't understand is why all these Gator fans are on the Miami blogs everyday? You've got your two back to back NC's, which is indeed very impressive, what more do you need to feel good about your team? Miami alumni and fans know we're not even close to that level yet, but Haith and the administration are working on it, so why do you guys feel the need to come on here everyday and put down a basketball program that isn't even in your conference or even on your schedule? I can honestly say I have never been to a Gators or Seminoles blog, and if I did I certainly wouldn't go there just to talk crap.

The Gator fan who wrote this honestly sounds like the bitter one. Get over it, for this year, Miami is a better team. I'll give you this, UF is a better program, but not this year. Good luck in that NIT - Not In Tournament

What's a "gfans"?

And what bandwagon? Most Canes alumni and fans are just impressed and proud that we went from a 12-20 team last year, and picked to finish last in the ACC this year, to making the NCAA tournament and now making it to the second round. In Canesland, while it's an improvement, it's hardly the bandwagon. The bandwagon only takes off after a National Championship, which I have yet to see a Miami alumni or fan proclaim is in the near future.

Again, why are Gators fans on a Miami blog? Didn't you guys win your NIT first round game yesterday? Isn't there a Gator forum/blog where you can talk about that, or do you just have nothing better to do than come talk crap to fans of a team with modest expectations in an effort to make yourself feel better?
