You can't spell "Terrapins" without "N I T"...

How much longer will UMaryland fans have to suffer with Gary Williams? This is the same song from a different album: just like the Ravens let Billick stay around too long after he won the Super Bowl, so it is that Williams has overstayed his welcome in College Park after the NCAA Championship.

Wow. I have never seen so many stupid comments in one forum before. After listening to some of you people I should just shred my diploma and cancel my Terrapin Club membership and season tickets....

Get an f-ing clue people. Gary and Fridge brought the programs back to respectability and one of them got to the top of the mountain. Its college sports -- you get players for 4 years max -- thus there are ebbs and flows in the game. You get frustrated -- I admit that -- but I'd rather sit in Comcast or Bryd with the stadium half-full, than in a packed house where 1/2 the people were ones in this forum.

Jimmy from Beltsville, I hope you get your paycheck from basketball, because with gems like "the point is MUTE," you don't have much of a future elsewhere.

Here's the problem for Gary: his best years came when his team was dominated by overachievers who were not hevily recruited by other powers (most notably Dixon and Blake). The players since then come to Maryland with better credentials on paper, but don't seem to produce as well. Still, Gary and Ralph DID pull both programs out of the pitts, Yow has made many good hries in the athletic department AND righted the ship financially, and we seem to be running clean programs. And how can anyone suggest getting rid of Cottle??? What a bunch of fair-weather types.

What norm? Typical Baltimore. Never want the young brothers to get ahead. But they are. I will take Coach Thompson's views anyday over your trailer park Dundalk boys. See, he knows how to help black youth in the inner cities see a successful future. Unlike people like you who see Chris McCray fail off the team in the second semester of his senior season at Maryland. Have you checked to see if how that young man is doing? I'd take the Georgetown "so called" thugs over the sofiies at Maryland any day. You are one of the reasons young black men in Baltimore have it so hard. That's why we teach them to watch out for jokes like you!! By the way, have you been to the city lately to see how hard some of our young brothers are working to get accepted to D-1 programs? I'm willing to bet that you haven't. Stay in the county with your guards up and keep stereotyping our young leaders. They will be fine without you!

Are hevily and hries words in the dictionary? Come correct when you want to make a point. Spell check is an option that you do have when posting a message!

When Micheal Beasley wins POY this year it will make two strait years a Maryland born player has won and neither attended Maryland. Kevin Durant was the POY lst year. Maryland born players have dominated the college landscape going back to Carmelo Anthony leading Syracuse to a tittle in 2003. Since they are only in college for one year anyway, Why not Maryland?

Stereotyping our young leaders? Man, where have you been hiding all that young black leadership talent? Certainly not in Beltsville. Let us in on the secret stash of educated, well spoken, civic minded youth you have tucked away out of the public eye.

Civic minded? Not surprising coming from some neck from Ellicott City. Again I ask, do you cross the county lines to find out more about inner city kids and the stuggles they over come daily to make it in this wicked state? Better yet why don't you send your kids across instead of sending them into the city to buy drugs?

Where is Hurlock MD? Do they even play sports there?
