Coach Billy G, really needs a better attitude in regard to the way the UK fans feel because they fill the seats at Rupp not his curt remarks that he's not much on Tradition! The Cats must get back there winning respect or UNC will take our place and you can forget any good recruits or the possibility Top Coaches considering to come to KY in the future!

Gillespie can't coach, why would you have Meeks on the bench in a game that is critical for Ky. I have never seen a Ky. coach that is so rude to reporters and anyone questioning his actions. Get rid of him while you still have fans, it won't be long till the media makes Ky. a laughing stock. Also they might want to have Pattersons eyes checked I believe he might need glasses.

Its way way to early to start saying billy gillispie should go , lets remember he only been at uk kentucky for 2-years.He did not have a winning team like tubby smith had in his 1st season. We could possible see at uk kentucky in 2009-2010 a team in the next few years that could make a very serious run for the mens division 1 ncaa basketball national championship.Only time will tell.We will need to kept both meeks and patterson and also miller at kentucky. We have a strong recruitment class coming in for 2009-2010 that could really turns things around again at uk and get us back on the winning road again.

Wow! Now the talk is about firing Billy G. My question is why would any sane coach would want to coach at Kentucky! Just as soon as they loose a single game the fans wan't the coach's head on a platter. Kentucky by far has the most foolish fans in the country. There is no way you can have a winning season every year. I used to be a BIG BLUE fan. But one day I woke up and saw the light. I saw how fans really mistreat the coach. Keep acting like stupid little spoiled brats, you'll never get a quality coach because you run them off. I mean Billy has only been there 2 years. How can you expect to win a national championship in rebuilding years. Pitino was a smart man. He left because he knew what was going to happen down the road. Tubby Smith was a smart man as well. He wasn't a favorite from the start. Maybe it was because U.K. went against the old Rupp tradition and hired a man of color. Old Adolph is probally still rolling in his grave because of Tubby. Both men knew that UK is never greatful for what they got. Now Kentucky is going to get another national championship this year. But it wont be from UK. It will be the other Kentucky School (LOUISVILLE). Might even be Western. ;) But no UK. Either or, GO BIG RED!!!! Maybe this will teach UK quit being so foolish!!!! Good Luck in the NIT. Youre going to need it.

UK fans expect constant greatness. That's what fan's should expect from their team and their coaches. Do we demand it? Damn skippy we do. No one not even Billy G. with his smart comments will change the true UK fans. We love our Big Blue!!! Rain or Shine!!! I'm just disappointed that some idiot trying to prove he knows better than everybody else screwed over all the true fans by benching our best players. The only point he proved is that he can't coach.

Billy G is unreal, I have never seen or heard a coach be so self centered in their approach fans, reports and history. I just packed away all my UK stuff, I am done until he is gone. That was hard since I was born and raised in Lexington.

Hard to believe that he was the best coach on the market, way to go opie.

i think if they win 2 or 3 games in the nit they will give him another chance but if they loose hes gone and plus the only reason there in the nit is because the fans bring in alot of money

One word for Billy G.[ WEAK ]!!! Is someone else higher up teling him who to play. He just keeps starting players who should be only used for mop up minutes or blow outs. He has talented players that ride the pine and only get in for seconds at a time. No one can get on a roll with their butts on the bench. Hope the coach egts it together before he gets the axe.

Kentucky has had great teams and their fans suport the team whole heartly. No one can question the records and sucess they have had. After checking the records and history of Kentucky I found that they have won more SEC Championships than any oyher team in the conference and when Rupp coached they never played another Kentucky school or a school that had blacks on their teams for some reason. In 1966 this changed as they were beat by thenTexas Western in the NCAA Tournament.Maybe Ruppwas prejuice I don't know but I do know for coaching Blacks deserved to play at Kentucky. Kentucky won another NCAA with black players after Rupp retired and could of won more if RUPhad recruited black home state players like Unseld,Cox ect.
So which way is Kentucky going now?
