Fan Safety

The Wizards and I'm sure other NBA teams have this gimmick of shooting t-shirt cannons high into the air. The fact that aiming them up towards fans' upper level seats, rather than aiming only at lower level seats, will eventually cause some kid, teen, or maybe just an inebriated fan to impulsively over-reach and plunge to their deaths? Well, the Lakers' story just proves the point about how easily it can happen. It's time for NBA teams to take fan safety in this regard seriously, rather than actually contributing to a safety risk with irresponsible entertainment practices!
