chili got his big $$$$ because of bretts play last year and 3 weeks later started talking about benching him against the lions!!! showed just what he thought about brett,, he said nothing til his money train came in then pounced on his player as soon as the moment arrived!!! chili doesnt want him and his offense without brett was a joke!!! this team is quitting every week!!! the defense has fallen off ,, teams are running well in obvious running situations!! this team showed up unprepared right from day one against the saints!!! the morale is shot!!! no ones having fun!!! theyre just like dallas now!!! they should have sat with randy to check this out first but chili gets his way!!! randy was justifiably pissed when the team did not want to hear what he had to say about the pats offense!!! do these coaches want to win!! belichek would milk LT for his jets offensive knowledge!! not chili!!!!

Waters, you know nothing! Moss is probably the greatest WR of all time. Great players want and need to be involved, to make that play that will win the game. Chilly was basically using him as a decoy. A decoy! That's like using Beethoven to write an advertising jingle. Sure, Moss is an outspoken guy, but the man has produced throughout his career. A coach who knows how to correctly-utilize a great player will devise a scheme and call plays to get the ball into his great player's hands. Chilly doesn't and there lies his biggest fault.

HEADLINE: The L.A. Vikings...
At least you wont hear the Minnesota fans crying about the cold weather in the new stadium come December... Saw this coming a mile away.

You said when you bought the team that you love the New York Giants and Lawrence Taylor
and that you look forward to patterning the Vikings to be like the New York Giants
My question to you is, Is this how the New York Giants is run?
Get rid of Chillress please if you want to have a stadium built unless you want to move the Vikings to LA.
Thank You.

Charley, it must feel real good and make you puff up like a big man to call Randy Moss a "disruptive punk", from a distance? Wonder if you'd do the same if face-to-face with him? Hmm? And, as for Favre, he played yesterday, didn't he? And he will next week, too.

I have no more respect for the vikings anymore. They are a huge disgrace of a football team now. We might as well have high school kids playing, because I'm sure we would get beat by high school kids. Chilly is a poison to the team and you are high on something Ziggy. Im not suprised at this, but you are actually trying to make an excuse to leave minnesota. you are complete asses who dont know a thing about football.

I dunno about the rest of you loyal Viking fans out there , but I have had about as much as I can take. Sitting here watching this group of overpaid underachievers each weekend is sucking the life out of me. We knew what we were getting with Moss coming back , sad thing is what he said yesterday was CORRECT. Take the points , go into halftime with the lead ...and you get the ball first in the 3rd quarter. What a waste of a rd round draft pick this fiasco has become. Madieu Williams SUCKS ..the tackling sucks , the defensive line is totally non productive. Jared Allen got married this offseason , he looks smaller to me than he did last year ..certainly playing smaller. This team has become the league laughing stock and late night punchline. Barring a miraculous turnaround ...this season is lost ..and the window for this team has slammed shut. Childress has to go ...I would defend him cause every year his record got better ...but this season its obvious this team got better inspite of him , not because of him. Any NO Saints fans have any paper bags leftover ...I think some of us will be wanting to wear them soon.

Wade is laughing with Jerry that their team is not as dysfunctional as the Cowboys. Now we have become the laughing stock of the NFL thanks to Zygi & Co. Childress should have been fired two years ago.

It all seems relatively simple. Red thought Denny Green was better to keep around than Tony Dungy. Wilfs thought Chilly was better to keep around than Tomlin. If you can't get Dungy or Cowher, then make Frazier the head least then you have a coach that can communicate with coach up his players. Let the ego-maniac go and bring in one of those three.

If Zygi wants to own the LA Vikings then he should keep Childress around. This guy will have the entire MN fan base turning their back on this organization in no time!

“any questions?”

This will go down as one of the worst takes on this Moss/Childress fiasco and you will look very stupid for saying it.

The biggest problem with the Vikings is the belief by Zygi Wilf that Brett Favre was the answer and Childress's understanding, as such, that getting Favre would mean that Childress could not possibly be blamed for anything that could go wrong.
First you have an owner who, like all owners, knows too little about football to be involved in decisions about players. Childress clearly doesn't like Brett Favre personally but Wilf has believed for the last couple of years that getting Favre would be great for the Vikings -- both from a playing point of view and from a marketing point of view. He's right about the marketing part and last year he was right about the playing part. But the Favre thing was never a long-term solution. Childress knew this, but he also knew that the easiest way toward keeping his job lay in appeasing ownership. Had he gambled on Tavaris or some rookie, that might not have worked and then it would be Childress's fault. But Childress, I believe, calculated that if he went after Favre like Wilf wanted then Wilf would not be able to fault Childress for anything that might go wrong. And Childress was right! The team suffers but the coach gets a free ride in this because he's only done what the owner wanted. For these reasons Wilf will not be firing Childress any time soon. And the Vikings will continue to pay for talent but underachieve because their coach is satisfied only to make the low-risk decision to do what ownership wants and to let those decisions decide the fate of the team. The more difficult but necessary thing that a good coach would do would be to take the more difficult route to try and develop the talent of a young player.
I just hope they make some changes and draft someone like Ryan Mallet and try to develop him for the future. I'm just not sure that Childress has the ability, much less the incentive, to take that kind of risk.

"Shoot her Now" seems appropriate in regards to Chilly
