Former Cleveland Cavaliers guard Larry Hughes is signed by the Charlotte Bobcats

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Bobcats have signed veteran guard Larry Hughes to help with depth in the backcourt as they attempt to reach the playoffs for the first time.

Oh wow, you do seriously think Larry Hughes is a good player. I'm sorry. Look, Larry Hughes stopped being a good player at the end of 2004. That was the last year he set any career highs in any major statistical category. He's done.

Also, I've never seen a man blow off as many children wanting autographs as Larry Hughes. He didn't even give the 6 year olds wearing his jersey the time of day.

He is also still a good player,he still got it.he's not even old yet.And i really dont think he will blow a lil kid off,he's a kind hearted person.Plus he can still contribute well,thats why the bobcats signed him.

Exactly how much he will contribute is my question. And for the blowing off little kids part, I can say that because I saw him do it on at least 5 different occasions at the Q. There is an area where fans get to line up and a special section just for little kids. The other players and even the players from the other teams the Cavs played would stop by, but Larry would just walk past. I know he was upset with Cleveland fans for booing him, but still...

I don't hate him, but I talk from personal experience when I speak against him. I hope he does well, but I'm skeptical of how he will do.

Oh well in that case ok,but as for the bobcats,i think they should start him,he can bring toughness to the bobcats.Not to mention a good scorer.

It's worth a try. He will have to beat out Jackson most likely for a starting position. I looked at their roster and his 2009 salary is actually is the highest of anyone on the team at 13 million and change. Yes that adds up everything he's due I'm sure, but I'm amazed he is paid that much.

A guy who does everytihng and anything to help a team win ought to be paid that much.I already told you,hes instant offense.

I would classify Larry as highly overpaid. His PPG has dropped to 11.something and 9.something in the past two years. He's still plenty young, but he seems to be going through a rough patch in his career.

I think its the transition of team's thats affecting his play.

Not anymore, but he was out for a few weeks because of an injury to his finger. It's still listed as an injury, but now it's not keeping him out of games anymore. I think he came back as of a week ago or so, but I don't know how much it's still bothering him.
