Rarely would a 20-year-old basketball player be considered over the hill. But Ricky Rubio set the bar high for himself with his precocious play. Full Story

He'd be playing in the NBA if he had been drafted by a respectable team... as it stands, I'd rather be in Barcelona too

win/win for the wolves. If it's true and he wants east coast, fine. Trade him and have more ping pong balls for Jared Sullinger or the pt. guard from Duke, what the hell's his name?

Well if Ricky wants to play in, say, Boston, I could see dealing him for Rondo...

The New York media has been all over trying to sell the idea that Rubio wants to be in New York. It may be true, but the story is suspect.

The fact remains, this is a guy who hasn't play a minute in the NBA and he has the gall to try and dictate where he plays. That's why I don't watch the NBA right there. What a joke of a league. Soon every sport will consist of the good teams on the east and west coast. Won't hold much draw for us in "flyover" country.

I don't really care if Rubio plays here, or whether we trade him for decent, if not equal, value. I am not sure that Rubio is quick enough to stop penetration, and he certainly is not that good of a shooter. With Irving, Walker, and Knight probably coming out this year, there are quicker, better shooting, PG's available in the draft that probably have as much upside as Rubio. Our own draft pick is probably going to be a top 5 once again, unless we somehow put it all together and start winning games (LOL). If someone offered a pick in the 5-10 area for Rubio, I would probably take it.

As many have said, the NBA is a joke. The lottery is not completely fair to the worst teams, and is conducted behind closed doors. Officiating favors the established teams, and the "stars", to the detriment of the bottom feeders and younger players. The salary cap is hardly a detriment to a team with deep pockets. Free agency is nothing like baseball, or football, where the team losing the free agent receives some compensation, in the form of draft picks, to help make up for what they lost.

The NBA might not be run for the East and West coast media, but the NBA certainly seems to have a bias in making sure that the big markets are well taken care of.

Looking at those shooting stats, we already have a stable of guards that can't shoot. Trade the bum to some other team that has fallen for the hype. Ask yourself, has any player ever had more hype with less tangible proof to justify the hype?

I see this very simply. Trade Rubio, get something for him while you still can. Rubio isn't going to play for Minnesota, I think he's made that fairly clear. He wants to play on a winning and proven team. I hope the Wolves can see through their blinders and figure this out before it's too late. I for one would like to see some wins in the near future!

Big deal, Ricky Rubio! Go play for an east coast team if you can make one? Overhype on you since you came on the scene.

This is looking more and more like a Kahn flop. Jury's out on Flynn and Wes Johnson. The kid is 20 now, older than most lottery picks anyway, go ahead and trade him for a lottery pick. I'd rather have two lottery picks this year than a completely unproven Euro kid anyway. At this point, I don't think anyone is going to care one way or another.

I have seen his hightlights, granted he does appear to have a vison for the court and can distribute the ball, but a PG in the NBA also has to score. His shooting is horrible, and got WORSE this year. PLEASE trade this overhyped POS.

to loathe the NBA. When a team not on either coast drafts a player it's only a matter of time before they want to go to LA or NY etc. if they play well.

do you watch the NFL? Does the name Eli Manning mean anything to you? he pulled the same crap. So I hope you don't watch the NFL, because it is a joke of a league by your own standards.

I couldn't. Not when Rondo came so cheap, 55 for 5 years.

I like the fact that the Wolves hold his draft rights basically forever, or until he comes here to play. I say, leave him in Barcelona until he figures out its play for the Wolves, or stay in Europe.

Can you blame Rubio for NOT wanting to play for the T-Wolves? WHo in their right mind would? This is not a surprise, folks! He's been against playing in Minnesota from day 1. That's the story and reputation of this pathetic organization. ;-(
