Timberwolves whistles for five technicals in 10 seconds in 107-96 loss to San Antonio

The Timberwolves just couldn't take it anymore. All the blown fourth-quarter leads, the injuries, the defensive lapses, the failures to execute a play in late-game situations ... all the things that have gone wrong in what was supposed to be an uplifting season reached a level of frustration rarely seen in an NBA game.

Ken Mauer is an idiot. Referees are taught to keep their emotions in check and this guy apparently couldn't do that. Watching the game, I didn't see anything that warrented 5 T's in 10 seconds. The calls made leading up to the T's were questionable and if the players were being too vocal, stern warnings would've put an end to it. Mauer....grow up! Your actions were typical of a pouting little kid who had his feelings hurt.

NBA officials are the most "look at me I'm running this game" officials in sports. This is why the NBA is about as popular as the NHL nationwide.

It doesn't take much to figure out what happened. The TimberWoes had gotten it within 6 points. Time for the refs to insure the spread and make their change. I know the Woes are not great, and San Antonio has the best record, but the seemingly scripted nature of NBA basketball is just sad to watch. Good luck with that lockout!
