Not a surprising result.

I had predicted the Bulls would win 2 on the West Coast swing but had a loss in Utah and the SA game as winnable. Fate took a turn as Utah was ailing while SA got healthy.

The Bulls played SA a couple games too late. Had they played the team without Ginobli I think they win.

Biggest concern of the game for me is with Rose's speed and ability to get to the rim he should be drawing allot more fouls then he is, but it appears that the refs are taking his rookie status into effect and not giving him any respect. The other day in Denver he was getting hacked repeatedly and not getting the calls. VDN has to risk a technical or a fine and call get Rose the respect he needs.

I knew it was over when they put bowen on rose at the start of the 4th quarter. Rose is excellent but I don't think he is ready for a bowen guarding him yet. He wasn't able to adjust and he just let his teammates take over. He would pass the ball to Gordon (who would go 1 on 1 on his guard and either would miss his shot or lose the ball) or to Hughes (who would also shoot .... and miss) and then he would just stay back. Oh well .. it's still early in his career, he would someday be great and get the calls his way as well

I like Gooden for the fact, he generally summarizes the teams play realistically. You'd think a team's supposed top player, with the highest paid player supposedly the best player, and in the Bulls case that's Luol Deng; well, you'd think that he'd be able to do some things on his own, instead of the coach always commenting about how he needs to do things to help set Deng up. Paxson definitely needs to be fired, and that's as much for his decision to allow Deng to get a top dollar contract, as it is for his Thomas for Aldridge deal, or the Noah pick, or the shipping off of J.R. Smith without as much as a chance, or his decision to get rid of Chandler for Smith and P.J. Brown. What has the taking on of Brown's expiring contract got the Bulls? If a fan were to study on all of this management team's awful decisions, i swear it would be enough to depress someone.

The offense looked good for a stretch in the third quarter, and it all started with the Rose and Gooden screen and roll. The ball movement started from there and the passing was crisp. All Gordon and Hughes had to do was spot up. In the fourth those two felt that they needed to take over.., especially when we got down. The turnovers and bricks started to mount. I think both of those guys (because they are veterans) don't want to pass the torch onto Rose. The sooner they understand that rose is the best player on the team the better. They need to understand that Rose is a win first by any means necessary guy.If they don't want to understand..., get rid of them.
p.s.
I think Kaman would be a good peice to the championship puzzle.

Hughes has to go. He is selfish and nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. A real momentum killer because "he needs to get his".

Ya ain't gonna win if ya keep letting Gordon hog the ball, period! He has no business dribbling and acting as the point.
Noce needs to get a haircut and stop complaining on every call. He is the poster child for why other teams don't take the Bulls seriously.
Deng, even when healthy, is not a savior. What a waste of money.

Vinnie will not be successful. He has only one talented big guy-Gooden who is a keeper. Keep Rose, Gordon and Hughes...they are NBA quality.

Flush the rest after you dump the moron Paxson.

The core of Deng, Nocioni and Klank Hinrich is rotten!

Deng is too frail and overpaid with no upside.
Nocioni too slow with shoot first mentality.
Klank Hinrich the attack killing, circle dribbling, career inconsistent
streak shooter who is too slow and doesn't fit either as a PG or SG

THe Spurs have their own budding rookie star in George Hill, a Miswest BB product. He literally took the Bulls apart in the fourth quarter with his driving layups. Sure, Rose is great. But, this klid Hill has to be the surprise of the season for the Spurs.

We need to make a trade ASAP before the season becomes a waste... I think I've lost faith in both Thomas & Noah. I had been giving them the benefit of the doubt and thought they would wake up by now- but Im starting to think they will never find their game.

1) We need a big man to help Gooden down low and take the pressure off our guards.

2) Gordon needs to stop thinking he's a PG. All he needs to do is set up for a jumpshot and just wait for a screen or the pass & take his shots. He has no business trying to take the ball in and create his own plays. He just continues to turn it over. We must keep him though cause he's great scorer- VDN needs to make the team understand that Gordon should not be bringing the ball down- period!

3) We need a big man who can score and Pax needs to realize he has trading chips to play with. Even if he got to give up Deng- these players can be traded for a big man who can score!

TRADING CHIPS- Hughes, Thomas, Noah, Deng, Hinrich- Pax be a GM and make a damn TRADE!!!!!!!!!!

You know this team is young & they need to learn how to put teams away. The Bulls had the Spurs beat, dont forget we were up 9 in the 3rd with the Spurs on their hills, Gordon scored 5 straight & Gooden added 4, then all of a sudden we start taking dumb shots, I dont think Gordon touched the ball the rest of the quarter. Fact is when a player is hot, you have too exploit tht until the other team adjust. Example, Rose could not stop Hill period & THE THE sPURS ran tht play now stop until we were done. Dont get me wrong I love this kid rose, but he has to play better D. dREW gOODEN & Larry Hughes make me sick sometimes, they are veterans who play just like rookies at times, none of the Bulls players have anyone to look to for leadership. And please it cannot be Deng or Hinrich. Bulls should of hired Mark Jackson for coach

Vinnie will be fine. You would be horrible.
You don't keep Hughes or Gordon. Neither knows how to play a team game. They are "NBA quality" selfish manure.

36... 6.... 10.... numbers of minutes played (36), points (6) and rebounds (10) were the contribution of the three Bulls big guys of the forward/center position last night (Noah/Thomas/Gray). With that type of help my friends is very hard to win a game....no excuses Bulls needs a trade for a big productive center that accompanies
Gooden, Gordon and Rose in the offense.....

Quite possibly there worst effort for this early season. When the Spurs were making there run did we ever see the Bulls sound the alarm and start being aggressive on offense and play some defense? Nope, nope, NOPE!!! Also, DRose was TOO passive for some reason, and that just made me upset cause I know he can take over at any time. The Bulls blew it again like always.

The Bulls' only problem is that they are trying to please too many players on their roster. Once they get rid of their dead weight (Gooden, Gordon, Hughes) and give playing time to younger players with higher ceilings, they will shoot up in the standings and move into contention for a title.
