If the end of the first quarter score tomorrow night is something like 18-16 then you folks are in for a long night and I will be posting in here accordingly.
However if the Magic have atleast 24 points then there is a good chance I will be posting in another Magic forum somewhere and making people feel confident in this basketball team.
1st Qtr, 33-18 Magic.
2nd, 55-50 Magic.
3rd, 75-74 Cavs
4th, 108-92 Magic.

JJ redick 30pts.

I beg to differ with you about "the rest of the Cavs not having any talent."
They are deep in talent and that includes the bench too. There should have been more All-Star picks from the Cavs. They are not #1 with the best record because they're a bunch of schmucks!
More All stars from Cavs???
Like who??
Mo williams?? just because he broke 40 the other night.
He has the highest rate of TO's compared to other PG's ..ie, Jameer/Rondo..etc....
or who else?? Biz Z...Varejano..Wally...??
Yeah, lets send them all.

There is a reason they are called The Lebron Cavaliers.

Very good article, and very interesting.
I have to say that Lebron is one of the best young players I've seen in a long time.
But that being said, I would have to lean toward taking Dwight. Notice I say "lean", not "I would definitely take".
The reasoning is simple:
When it comes to great SGs/SFs like Lebron, you have so many to choose from:
Kobe, D-Wade, Pierce.
But when it comes to big men, there's nobody in the league even in the same stratosphere as Dwight.

is that we brought Dennis Scott back into the discussion. What is he doing now?

Also, when is Nick going to join the management team?

Lebron will be the bigger star, but to build a franchise around him you first have to have enough to get him and keep him. We'll see if Cleaveland will keep him. If they don't win this year, I say he bolts for NY. Dwight is the better franchise cornerstone because he will stay, is all-star quality, and makes other around him better. It's the difference between Superstar and ALl-star. You build franchises with all-stars and win championships with a lot of all-stars or a few allstars and one superstar. Detriot and San Antonio, vs Jordan's Bulls.

LeBron is one of the best passers in the game and averages something like 8 assists. He's not a "ballhog" by any means.

I did not say they did not have any talent. I said they had "little." More All-Star picks??? Who? Name one other?

Trivia question. Which Eastern Conference PG has the worst Assist/TO ratio?

I agree. LeBron reminds me of Garnett in his younger days. He's great, and capable of carrying his team to heights, but sorry, Z is only as good as LeBron makes him, and the rest of the team are role players.

If Cleveland had Rashard and Jameer, they'd be much, much better.

In any case, watching LeBron and Kobe play is fun, and I expect tonight's game to feature good basketball but Cleveland fans, you're only 14-8 away from home, don't be counting your victory just yet...

howard is not even close to his prime yet... offensively, defensively... its just scary to know that he's still got 3 to 4 years to grow... Take dwight everyday of the week and twice on sundays, Lebron wishes he could play with d12 right along with everyone else
Don't get me wrong, I really love Howard, but I just don't see him as one of the top 5 post players to ever play the position. He has potential to possibly get there, but I haven't seen it yet. If he continues on the way he is going, you can probably slide him somewhere around Tier 3 (see below)

(All time greatest Centers:{Teir 1: Wilt, Russell, Kareem},{Teir 2: Hakeem, Shaq, Duncan},{Teir 3: MMalone, Robinson, Ewing, Mikan})

Lebron is one of the three greatest swingmen to ever play the game and he has the potential to equal Jordan who is #1.

this is about the most worthless, homer article ever written. Anyone that would rather have Dwight Howard over Lebron James or Kobe Bryant is nuts. Dwight is a great player- but not on the level of those 2.
Danny, this is not a homer article. It started with ESPN. Now you need to apologize to the class, sit in the corner, and think about what you have done.

Don't tell me people would line up American Idol style to watch the the Howard-less Magic! Nothing gets the dander up like a Hedo led squad of Jameer, Rashad, et. al. They are both fantastic. No mention about LeBron's ability to pass? Or that he can play 5 positions? Before everyone freaks out, I didn't say he could play center against Howard for 40 minutes. But he played there in the Olympics and does when the Cavs go small. You can have Superman. I'll take the King any day.

First off let me say that LeBron is a FREAK and that I really really was going to pick him at first but the more I thought about it the more I think I would go with Dwight.

I love the morons who say Dwight is offensively challenged. Yeah the guy scores 20 a gam and has 2 people guard him at all times, yeah he sucks. I understand that LeBron sees doubles a lot but he doesn't have 2 guys DEDICATED to him at all times.

In addition have you even watched a game that Dwight goes off on the defensive side? I mean people get afraid to get near the paint when he gets going down there and it regulates the other team to a jump shooting team.

Ten years from now Dwight will have more rings than LeBron you can put the money in the bank. Then people will be talking about who is better between LeBron and the next great SG/SF like they do now with Kobe and LeBron.

Funny I remember after Kobe won 3 championships with Shaq everyone said they would rather have Kobe than Tim Duncan. Hmmmm Kobe without Shaq = ZERO rings Tim Duncan has how many?

This is a silly, silly homer article, there is no way anyone should take Dwight over Lebron.
A bunch of things:
1. Dwight doesn't get any calls? He's averaged 10+ FT attempts the last two years, more than Lebron each year.
2. Lets see what each has done in the playoffs:
-Dwight-- getting swept by the Pistons, beating the Raps 4-1, then losing to Detroit 1-4.
-LeBron-- triple-double his first playoff game, taking Detroit to 7 games after their 05 Finals appearance, a Finals appearance of his own, 45 points in Game 7 against the Celts last year.
Neither has won the title, but Lebron has clearly done much more with 42, 45, and 50-win teams than Dwight has with Orlando in any season.

My point exactly....
If we had Lebron, right now, Keith Bogans and JJ redick would be going for ALL STARs too....
...ok...maybe that was stretching it.....lol

like MIO said the other day, its amazing how and why they are 33-8 or so......Its only Lebron....Mo Williams definitely helps but WOW.
LEBRON is a freak of nature....talent or whatever you wanna call him....but thats just HIM.
The King is it....the rest of the Cavs I just dont know.
You take Lebron out of the game you got a lottery team, you take Dwight away, we still make the playoffs...
Once again......i'm just saying you know...
