Yeah!! Congratulations!! What a great feeling for Jon and for his parents and rest of his family. I can imagine all the ball games his parents must remember from Jon's childhood, seeing him become a tremendous Big 10 player, and now becoming an NBA pro. May many blessings come your way. You and your wife will LOVE living in the Pacific Northwest!

He is a great kid with the right skills for college. As a role player, he kept the defenses honest. I don't think however he has the right game for the NBA. He is a step slow and will not match up well on defense. His hope is that Portland will use him in certain situations for his outside shot. Making the team though is a longshot.

I'm really going to miss Diebler and Lighty. What great players they were.

The Cavs should have drafted Terrel Pryor. He's fast and knows how to get out of a tight spot really quickly.

Congrats Threebler... I wish you success in Portland. And I will pray that the Cavs will find a way to bring Lighty home to Cleveland!!! He is a great athlete, hard worker, and would be in heaven playing for his hometown Cavs. C'mon Dan and Byron, give him a shot!

Portland made a good choice we are going to miss him but he deserves a shot at the pros. I can not believe Lighty was overlooked hope he also gets his chance. Some of the picks the teams made were worthless and some good players overlooked.

I'm extremely happy for Diebler. He may not be a starting guy but could come in when teams need an offensive spark and he can hit some threes. It's a shame Lighty wasn't drafted. Teams would be crazy not to pick him up in FA.

Pryor probably has a better basketball game than any of the players the Skunweasels have.

Props to Jon Diebler. Being a Phoenix Suns fan, I'd rather he not be in the same division, but I am glad he's got an opportunity to play at the next level. Best of luck.....just don't beat the Suns. :)

Actually that may work out better for Lighty. He is free to find a team that can utilize his skills. Sometimes FA's find a home that the draft couldn't provide. We all wish him the best as he is a quality young man.

I wish he was drafted, but at 6-5 and 220lbs, he's too small to be Forward in the NBA. Unfortunately, he's not a great outside shooter to be a shooting guard, and he's good at taking people off the dribble, but not great. He fits the definition as a "tweener" in the NBA. I hope he can find a good organization to play for internationally, like in Europe. Basketball is big there, and he can make some good money.

I can't believe Lighty wouldn't do better than some of these other guys that were drafted. There were several guys drafted that I never heard of before. Another guy that should have been drafted was Kalin Lucas at MSU.
Congrats John

Congrats to Diebs, and I believe Lighty will make it with a team also. I don't have high hopes for Lauderdale however.

Deebs deserves good things. Congratulations to him!

Lighty deserves to play, too. And he will. I can't imagine that the NBA didn't notice his exceptional heart, athleticism, and maturity.

Lighty could become a lock down defender able to guard the 1,2, or 3. That is valuable in the NBA.

Jon, just go rain some 3's on the NBA. Work hard and remember where you came from. Upper Sandusky wishes you the best and we are all very proud of your accomplishment.
