What happened!! Don't report something unless you have the full story. This is garbage.

theories, anyone?

Terrible....always loved to see him play when he was with Portland.

To all that knew kevin,He was a very gentile giant.The measure of this big man heart will forever ring in the halls of Blazer greats.Thank you for the memories.Rest in peace.

We know what happened: he died. As with most deaths, the true cause is not known for days or weeks. I'd rather have this story than rampant speculation with no basis in fact. |

Went to high school with Kevin. Nice guy. Too sad.
|

good link. thanks. |

Very sad. Am I getting senile, or do I correctly remember his Mom trash-talking the Bulls in the buildup to the '92 finals? You gotta love that. RIP, Duck.

Most likely a heart attack. There is cost to being 7 ft 300 lbs when you get a little older. Very sad. He seemed like a very genuine person.

My thoughts prayers go out to the family & friends of Kevin Duckworth. I met Kevin when he was still in high school and he has always been a class act. He will be terribly missed.

I live in Oregon and have known Kevin for almost 20 years. I also knew his brother Ray and his Mom Maxine. Wonderful people, all of them. Kevin was a friend and one of the kindest, sweetest and most sensitive people I've ever known. He will be missed so very much. He's the one that named me "Annie Mae". You're much loved, my dear Kevin.

Another sports great who, it seems, lived it, as opposed to talking it. They're so rare, you hate to lose one, no matter how.
I never met him and didn't follow his career closely, but I knew of him because of his excellence. That, and the responses from fans who did know him, says a lot of the kind of guy we wish all sports figures could emulate. Kevin Duckworth, RIP. To his family and friends; my heartfelt condolences. |

What did he die from?
|
||||

I went to college with Kevin and he was as nice a guy as you wanted to meet. Very unassuming for someone headed to the NBA. What a shame.
Gods grand plan I guess. |
||||
Thank you, well put. As for PaulPR, if he was a good PR guy, he should have had a good rumor for us. |
