Yes they have, Marbury loves it in China. For 500 bucks a month you can live like a king. AI might followed if the Lakers do not offer him a deal.

He wants to play in China but would not mind playing for the Lakers. Stephon Marbury is doing well in China.
Let him play in China, just keeping away from L.A. and I will be happy.

Build him a home a statue in China whatever he needs to get him not to play in L.A.

As the article read it could be workable when Kobe and now Nash go to the bench, AI comes in with his instant offense but to play Kobe and an AI type player simultaneously would not work unless Kobe could go in and alter his own DNA.

That would indicate that A.I. would come off the bench and if I recall right the reason why he is not in the NBA is cause he refuses to come of the bench for any team and Iverson instant offense is not the instant any more may in china but not in the U.S.

After a year away from basketball, AI has mellowed a lot, I believe if he wants to he can help the Lakers. But the Lakers getting AJ for the vet minimum is the steal of the year, that man can still flat out play.

He refused to be a bench player over 2 years ago I believe and according to this article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/27/alle...

He said "I'll play for anybody," Iverson told Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. About a year after grouching his way to the Turkish League, Iverson claimed that he is willing to help any team in any capacity.

So, the key is if he's STILL willing to be a role player off the bench he actually could be of some use.

AI is not going to come off the bench, he refuses to play off the bench for any team.....CANCER!

Ask Your self this why hasn't anything try to get him?

The only teams that went after him were memphis Griz and Clipps, he left the Grizz when he saw he will have to come off the bench and the clips offer him a starting spot he still refuse.

Rest of the league doesn't want to do anything with him why is that?

I think it's wishful thinking on those supporting Iverson to LA...or ANYWHERE for that matter.

Aside from the obvious diminished skills etc. Iverson lacks the MENTAL toughness and as you've pointed out, he can't swallow his pride.

Didn't someone once write "Pride goeth before destruction"?

AI was just joking when he said that. It will be a big mistake if the Lakers did not pick him up and loses early in the playoffs. He would be a great sub for Kobe or Nash, or even start when they r not available. Pay him the vets minimum, it is a steal. The man has matured a lot and said he would do anything to win an NBA title.
