We finally have a star player maybe a superstar player now a GM who is worth anything can put the pieces around Rose, a player like Camby who is available would make the Bulls a good team.

This kid is absolutely unbelievable. What's hard to believe is that Pax actually had the sense to draft him.

If his name was Rosen I'd introduce him to my daughter. A shiddach, no?

I'll answer for Larry....

Ben Gordon and Joakim Noah for Camby

If they don't want that...

Tyrus and Noc for Camby

or you could add Thabo and maybe a draft pick to those deals for Kamen.

Don't tell Me Lebron doesn't know who D-Rose is and what he's doing. When 2010 rolls around Lebron will have to really consider the option of playing with The Best Point Guard in the league!

I didn't know Camby was available, I guess anyone is for the right price though. If I remember correctly, he's had some injury problems in the past.

Last night on Sports Center I heard all the big men the Clippers have are in some way hurt, although I may have heard wrong.

The big question now is BEN GORDON!! What to do with him. Will Pax make him a sizeable offer? Wait for another team to offer something and try to counter offer or just let him walk?
Also, is Ben Gordon's recent success a result of Rose's abilities? It really does seem like Rose and Gordon make a great team, they seem to be jelling right now and work off each other.

I think the Bulls are one trade away from being a serious contender and I'll tell you what it is:

The two biggest trades that had the most impace in the last year or two both had one thing in common, a person on the inside who had a connection to the team that got the great deal.

The Celtics were handed Kevin Garnett for next to nothing by ex-Celtic and former teammate of Danny Ainge.

The Lakers were handed Pow Gasol for nothing by ex-Laker and former GM Jerry "The Logo" West.

The deal the Bulls need to make and will make is for Amare Stoudamire. Ex-Bull Steve Kerr has it in his power to give us Amare for next to nothing, as the Suns are going nowhere, he's heading for FA, and it all adds up.
We get Amare either at the Trade Deadline this year or during the offseason for the much coveted by the Suns Deng and Tyrus Thomas and they get something for a guy that was going to leave anyway.

I think Amere would be a perfect fit with Rose, and you can tell he doesnt like playing with Shaq. I'd do that in a heartbeat. C'mon Stevie Kerr give a brutha a hand!

That amare deal sounds really good. The problem is Paxson is BLIND. He can't see a trade that is right in front of him. For example, we could have had at least one of those guys that you mentioned, but Paxson could not get it done (Not to mention KOBE!). But yea, if amare is available and we don't get him? I say that's strike 3 for Paxson.

The Amare deal makes perfect sense.....and that is why it won't get done. Paxson is not capable of actually making a deal that helps out this team.

Watching Derrick Rose against Andre Miller was like a son going against a father. When the son finally just breaks down his old man it's amazing. It's great watching Derrick Rose break down the "old men" point guards of the NBA even when those guards aren't really old.

I think it's safe to say that, as possibly the league's best inside scorer, Amare would be a good fit with just about anyone.

I don't know that his impending free agency makes him a trade target, though. Garnett was trade bait because the Timberwolves are just a miserable organization. LeBron is expected to be available because of the widely held suspicion that the Cavs aren't much better.

But Phoenix-- no track record of winning titles, but they do have a long track record of putting really good teams together. The Suns will be able to offer Amare more money than anyone else, and there's a pretty good chance they'll be able to put a winning team around him, even after Nash and Shaq fall apart.

I wouldn't hold my breath on Amare, but it's nice to dream.

So it's settled. They give us Stoudamire. We give them Tyrus Thomas, three stale doughnuts from Jerry Krause's old desk drawer, Joakim Noah's ponytail holder and two pairs of Ben Gordon's orthotics. Deal.
