This is great hire and I'm excited that we may have a coach who sees UTEP as a "destination job" and not a stepping stone. Kudos to the UTEP administration.

Woohhoo!!! Great news, Im so happy! I cant wait to buy my season tickets. Too bad Caracter is not coming back, since he already said,he's opting for the NBA. Plus the possible NBA look-out next year doesn't help matters for him...Go Miners!!!

Awesome! Great work by Stull if true. Although I was warming to the idea of Dickey staying around after reading more on him. Hiring Floyd is a big deal and I bet the team enjoys playing, and learning, from him a lot more than that douche-bag Barbee as well as be a much better team. Was hoping for Floyd would be able to keep Caracter, but oh well. He'll wind up playing for some team in Turkey watching his old team mates kick some A next year.

Character will most likely go pro. but floyd will find a Mexican to take his place. Or a tough Irish white boy from Michigan or Chicago or Ireland!!!!

Yes Im so happy Floyd is the man, and I agree keep Dickey, he is well liked here in El Paso, I feel for him not getting head coaching job but Floyd is the man and he is meant to be here. I know with Floyd coaching here and Dickey and assistant we will have a great chance of going far in next years NCAA tournament. Hopefully and the players stay and new recruits don not back out of there commitment to play for the Miners. Go Utep!!!

Excellent hire UTEP! Congratulations and thank you to Mr. Stull, Dr. N., and the boosters.

Hopefully Coach Floyd can put the USC recruiting issues to rest and get to work with this promising Miner team. I am already looking forward to next year.

Go Miners!

Derrick Caracter can't come back to UTEP to play ever again.

The NCAA has a rule if you declare for the draft twice, you lose eligibility. Caracter has done that already.

He'll be playing overseas once he sees how stupid it was for him to leave school.

Hopefully our top recruits Bohannon and Korcheck will still make the Sun City home for the next 4 years.
