Miami will face Boston whether they finish as the no 2 or 3 seed. Miami will not face Chicago till the eastern conference finals, if they get there. Chicago will likely play Orlando in the semifinals. What are you talking about????

does not mater if you are 2 seed or three seed if trying to avoid #1 seed.
only makes for home court advantage between the two and playing a lower seed the first round.
if # 2 and # 3 both win first round, they would be playing each other in second round.
either would not meet # 1 seed until conference finals.
this writer must be a hatter.

I just don't see the twolves staff having enough knowledge and know how to 'develop' players.
Twolves are a joke...but they are my hometeam also...i'd like them to get better...but the whole organization is a joke...

I'll tell you what I expect next year: Rambis out of a job. The wrong man for this job, that much is crystal clear now. Ship him out!

Let's see, last year 15 wins. This year, 17 wins, with an outside chance for 18. This despite the offseason acquisitions of Beasley, Tolliver, Ridnour, Wes Johnson, Pekovic, and the inseason acquisition of Randolph.
We were promised that this team would be significantly better than the one from last season. Perhaps they are better, as there have been more competitive games, and fewer blowouts. In the end, the final arbiter is wins and losses, and the record says that they are only minutely better.
For this team to be a playoff contender next season they are going to have to win 30 more games. Even if you took all of the games lost by 8 points or less this season, I doubt you would pick up 30 more wins (for the record, I did not bother to check). The only way they have a chance to pick up that many more W's is to improve their defense by about 10 ppg, and not by just slowing the pace. I do not believe that it can happen unless Oklahoma City trades us Kevin Durant for a bucket of spare parts, or the Clippers send us Blake Griffin for next to nothing. Don't hold your breath.
These recent comments by Kahn and Rambis are nothing more than trying to keep what little fanbase they have, and probably keep the few season ticket holders from bolting.
I predict mid to upper 20's for wins next year. But I predicted that for this year as well, and look how well that turned out.
How about a little "D" guys? That ole' defense is fooling no one.

OK, so now I checked. Giving up 8 fewer points per game would have given the team 21 more wins and would have thrown 6 other games into overtime. If they won half of the overtime games that gets them into the 24-25 range, for 42 total wins.
Eight fewer points per game would be an enormous improvement, one I doubt they could make.

From my jaundiced viewpoint, the only basis for Rambis' and Kahn's optimism is their desire to make a case for keeping their jobs. Mr. Taylor has shown to be susceptible to pie-in-the-sky promises before -- a fatal flaw, it would seem, for an owner of a sports franchise.
I think we should go back to Kahn's and Rambis' comments two seasons ago and assess the current situation based on those comments, not on promises for future improvement.
I have lost all interest in analyses and theories: if the team can't win, or even compete, something is wrong. Promises of future improvement by those who have been unable to provide any real improvement are offensive to anyone with half a brain.
