Kahn didn't draft Lawson. The pick was already traded to Denver. Denver told the Wolves to draft Lawson for them. Regardless, Kahn is still a moron.

Kahn made a great trade in getting Beasley. Another great trade in getting Anthony Randolf.
The jury is still out on the Martell Webster--Luke Babbitt deal.

ummm no we are not gonna draft Irving we got rubio. come on now everybody he plays against team USA.
thats all im gonna say. and we will draft harrison barnes , or maybe we would draft Irving but trade him for a Center. but i doubt that or maybe a star like danny granger or Aundre Igoudala. but with Beasly thrown in the deal. for anyone of these guys.
and i think we should trade flynn and are grizzles pick with someone else for a top ten pick for Dontas from Lithuiena so he can come off the bench for darko , and he can knock down the 3 ball

Ridnour could be an excellent starting PG next season and transition either Rubio or a draft pick to reverse the roles the following year. Yes, he is getting older but he would make a great back up PG for a few years. Flynn is done for sure, a failed experiment.

Kyrie Irving is the real deal. Say bye bye to Flynn and Rubio. If we don't get in the top 2, we should trade away Rubio and our first so we can either get williams or Irving. If we do get number one, which we should, its even better. Then we can trade Rubio to a bad team for a first round pick to get back into next years draft because thanks to mcfail, our 1st round pick which will finally b unprotected, is going to the clippers next year(marko jaric) yeah I bet everyone forgot about that trade huh?
Other than Irving being a marginal defender, only a decent ball handler and play-maker, yeah, he's the real deal. Oh sure, he can shoot, but he's not very good at creating a shot.

As opposed to a 23 year-old senior that has not learned the game like Wes Johnson?

The NBA will never allow the Wolves to get the #1 pick. They'll probably end up with #4 since that's the absolute worst position they can get as the last place team.

As we all know, the NBA lottery is a disgraceful scam. The Wolves have the worst record but will end up with the 4th pick. So why not pick the player in this years somewhat weak draft that's most NBA ready? And that player would be (drum roll)...... Jimmer Fredette. Take the Jimmer with 4!! Why not? He will put fannies in the seats. He is smart, can hit shots from Duluth,is deceivingly quick and played 4 yrs. of college hoops. Who cares that he can't play defense? Nobody in the NBA plays defense! So when David "crook" Stern says "with the 4th pick in the 2011 NBA draft the Timberwolves select Jimmer Fredette from BYU", let's all celebrate to Jimmer time!!

Don't worry, the Wolves won't get the #1 pick in the draft. They could have a 99% chance in the lottery of getting the #1 pick and still they would end up with the 3rd or 4th pick.

Doesn't matter if Wolves have the best chance at the #1 pick, it will NEVER happen. Think of when Shaq was in the draft and we had the worst record in NBA. Did we get the #1 pick? NO! Mark my words, we will get the worst pick position possible vs. our record, the NBA will see to that (some big market team will MIRACULOUSLY buck the odds).
Doesn't matter anyway, the idiots that control the draft picks for MN are the worst in the history of the NBA, the ONLY exception being the Kevin Garnett pick. How many of their picks from the last 5 years are still around?

The Wolves should absolutely take Irving if they have the opportunity! I would like to see Minnesota get rid of Flynn and the rights to Rubio. Keep Ridnour as a backup and roll with Irving.

<quoted text>

That'sEXACTLY the one and only time the Wolves will 'win' Stern's rigged closed door lottery.

It's called 'IRONY'.

When they've traded it follishly to another team for junk. The better deal would be to have traded the #1 pick to the Clippers for a 10-year contract of Adriana Lima as a Wolves cheerleader.
