I see we have another TC asshole writer who thinks Rubio isn't coming. What's funny, is this joke of a writer won't have a job if Rubio doesn't come. How long do the Wolves stay in MN after Rubio decides he doesn't want to come? I don't think Taylor can stomach a few more $25M loss seasons. If he were to sell why would a new owner keep them here when they have no fan base? Enjoy covering Tubby's team, hear they're doing great things!!!!

Why would the Wolves trade their #16 pick to Memphis for #25 & #28?
The draft is about QUALITY, not QUANTITY. A better scenario would be
trading #16 and #23 to move up. Or offering #23 and a player (Gomes?)
to get something of value.

.... like never being able to recruit one and done kids, we'll never have success in the Big 10 until we start trying to recruit those kids, what happened to Cory Joseph? You suck Tubby!!!!!!!!!!

Kahn has to come through on draft night so I'm praying he is just throwing up a smokescreen.

There is one player in this draft that would have a huge impact on our team next season and in future and that is Evan Turner.

Philly is not 100%locked in on that pick as they also like the big guys in draft. We need to package Sixers Jefferson and the #4 and get #2 pick and Brand. I'm sure Philly would take deal.

I believe Kahn knows he can make a deal with Philly and is holding out until today or tomorrow to give them our best deal!

If Kahn trades the #16 to Memphis for #25 & #28 thn he has already screwed up this draft. A deal like that makes no sense whatsoever. You can probably get a very good player at #16 and most likely get two stiffs at #25 & #28.

I concur that 16 for 25 and 28 is a crap deal for the wolves. If this deal does take place, and there is no assurance that it does, then there has to be a player, or players, involved AND the transfer of players has to be beneficial to us as the swap of draft picks is beneficial to Indy.

Wes Johnson to NJ may be nothing more than a smokescreen, trying to bluff the wolves into trading spots with NJ (and of course, gaining an additional pick(s) in the process). NJ has been all over the board in the past two weeks, from being "locked in" on Favors.....to maybe liking Cousins over Favors.....to now maybe liking Johnson over both. In truth, NJ would be happy with any of the three. Putting Favors next to Lopez would make as formidable a front line as exists in the NBA (in two or three years) and probably makes more sense than NJ taking Wes Johnson.

Either way, the wolves come out fine. Favors is bigger than Amare Stoudamire and can see spot duty at both C and PF. This (Wes or Favors) works either way.

Just don't trade the 16 for the 25 and 28!!!

Aren't all first round picks guaranteed contracts for two years? I may be wrong, but if that is the case, why would the Wolves be interested in trading the 16th pick for two more lower picks? It's hard to take Kahn seriously because he treats this like someone in a Fantasy Basketball League. He says he doesn't think he can mess up this draft, but if he trades these picks and there is not something more to it than draft picks, he will screw it up. I, like many other people, think he screwed up last years draft. Kahn (and Glen Taylor) cannot afford to have another draft that doesn't make this team better Friday morning! Interest in the Wolves dwindled after last years draft, another similar draft this year will bring on a mass exodus. Even the most diehard Wolves fans cannot be expected to remain loyal to a team that can't win 20 games. The Wolves need to show some marked progress, and mailing in another season like this past year will drive fans away in droves.
