I really hope that the exwife and father had nothing to do with this. I just find it strange... My opinion she in front row father right next to her, and then she gets picked up a father house for question did they have a good relationship

I understand that you are trying to be insulting (it is not effective, but if it makes you feel good go ahead, you have my permission). Do I know what happened?? No I have expressed my theories, much to the chagrin of some; but I admit they are theories only. However this sentence :Worry bout your own as you told one blogger, that one of his own (meaning black person) killed him. Has me lost, what were you trying to say? I said one of his own, meaning some low life in the drug business or 'entertainment' business of his ex. Most probably black, because that is who he associated with. However, criminal enterprise is not color specific. Again, please have someone literate send the response, I am sure your knuckles are sore from pounding on the keyboard.

I am sick of people bringing up the fact that kids get on here and see people talking about their relatives negatively (not just this thread). What in the HELL are CHILDREN doing on here to begin with? A Sorry excuse for sorry guidance for children.

I think the Grizzlies (NBA) organization did a great service to the people of Memphis and fans of Lorenzen Wright by televising the entire service for those who would not (by any other means) be able to attend. Even though there were many empty seats you can be assured many area homes were tuned in to view the service and be a part of his life one last time. My regards to his family and may he finally rest in peace.
you are right ,i shedded my tears from my home and dont care for sports.but this was a awful things for someone to do to him . and a very handsome young man he was.

I totally agree with you. Suspicious, Suspicious. Plus, he is the one stating, "LW was overseas." (What was that all about?) Did Sherra plant that seed on the father or they conspired the alibi together? At the funeral the father was very calm. Maybe that's his normal persona, who knows? Among the immediate family the mother is the only one who appears shaken. Like I said before, in the particular "Saga" the truth will prevail!!!! Just wait on time.

Source of the information below:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/...

On Thursday, men in work clothes and women in high heels could be seen walking up a muddy hill to the spot where Lorenzen Wright's body was found on July 19, riddled with bullets in a brush maybe 100 yards from a narrow, unlit road. A makeshift grave with a marker and the stench of burned remains is all that is left of the crime scene. Stuffed animals and signs of affection for Wright were left at the entrance to the field where his body was found.

Sad, Sad, Sad.....
Looks like his remains had been burned.

Yes Nancy Grace is one of the few who acknowledges those who gave their lives (through no fault of their own) for our country. The media hype on this story is mind boggling. As I stated, I do think another senseless Memphis murder is pathetic. His family is suffering and I especially feel for his innocent children. He was a basketball player who (from reports) got involved with the wrong people. Also, from what is being reported, he was not a model father if he was so far behind on child support. If he could "give funds to the community", he certainly should have been able to pay support for his 6 children who, again, are innocent in all of this. As for 'some' who attended....my guess is they were there just because. My only reason for posting was to try to figure out why so much attention is paid for Mr. Wright but no special media or memorials are given for the many who die defending the very freedom that allows us to post on a blog.
This is sad that you can not see, that no one should be killed in this way. Also the people who are defending us for freedom. Are not so much in this war for our freedom, but are there begin murder for Bush, his family, and freinds greed. I have seen when a fallen soilder come home, an do get media attention and there is a Memorial Day.
How do you give back, to the soilder and your community? Also, to my uderstanding Ren was a good father!!!!

FYI, You do not need alot of money to give back!!!! Also, alot of people have money and will not given back.

Ok I know I'm going to get alot of flack for saying this but, I didn't ask anyone to go risk their life for me. Half of the soldiers who are fighting for this country do it just as a way out. Also, their not fighting for our community, their fighting for oil and so called weapons of mass destruction.

The "Project For A New American Century" explains why they are over there.

One of my old buddies signed up so for the student benefits, and ended up a few thousand miles away with a machine gun in his hand like w t f? I support them as individuals, fathers, mothers, brothers, Americans, humans. But that is no reason to baby them as if they don't know it's some b.s. over there. I know most of them are over there fighting because they have a job, and also they fight for the man beside them. As I read on a bumper sticker, their service in the line of fire is no excuse to side-step the hard questions.

And you probably will get a lot of flack, if I actually believed that we were over there fighting for our malls, Walmarts and reality shows, then I would've ripped your comment a new one... lol.

According to Channel 3 News:
FAST FACTS:
Wright's ex-wife says he left with drugs and money
Wright's family can't believe drug allegations
Ex-wife's attorney gives real reason she's not talking
(Memphis 08/11/2010)- Sherra Wright's attorney, Coleman Garrett, says the first he heard about her statement to police was this morning. He also tells us it's the last one she'll make and it's not because she had anything to do with his murder. He says she won't be a part of tarnishing his legacy.

Garrett said, "I didn't know anything about it."

Garrett said she considered the statement a conversation in confidence with the detective. She gave Collierville police a statement 5 days after he was reported missing. He says she won't be talking again now that Wright's body has been found but it's not because she had anything to do with his murder.

He said, "If her husband or ex-husband met the violent fate that has been reported under the circumstances of this case. If that happened to him, why wouldn't it be natural for her to think under the given circumstances something violent could happen to her."

She told Collierville police Lorenzen Wright left her home carrying a box of drugs about 10:30 p.m. July 18th. He came home and left a second time with a sum of money. She told officers she overheard a phone conversation he had with the unidentified individual before he left. She told officers she heard Wright say he was going to "flip something for $110,000". She also said he kept a shotgun in her Collierville home and a handgun in the family van.

Lorenzen Wright's mother drove off before we could talk to her today but others at her home find the drug allegation hard to believe. When we asked a family friend if they believed Wright had drugs, she said no.

Garrett said his client is keeping quiet out of fear and to save her children from more pain.

He said, "You got 6 children. They love their Dad. Their Dad is a hero in this community. We're not going to do anything to take that image."

He added, "Somebody is out there that didn't like her husband very much. And, if they didn't like him then why would they be in love with her or her children."

A search warrant shows Collierville police didn't find the weapons Sherra Wright says her ex-husband owned but they did find documentation they existed. A search warrant says they're trying to see if the shell casings found near his body match those of the guns that were in Sherra Wright's home.

Officers seized a letter that was addressed to Lorenzen and Sherra Wright and pieces of burned metal.

I understand how you feel about this and something should be done. Also, it is way over due for our troops to be remembered. There are people who honor the soldiers, but this has nothing to do with a that. people in sports are not just basketbal, football, baseball, or hockey players, they are people who just like the troops has made some sacrafices to better society and they should be honored for that way before their deaths, just like our troops.

Okay, for the bloggers who keep talking about the war. I agree with you they should be honored, but do something about it. Shut up and making this a black and white thing. It is not a black and white thing, let these people honor this man and you honor who you want to honor. This is a free country and no one is stopping you from honoring these soldiers who risk their lives day after day. There are a lot of ways people are honoring these men and women, taking care of the wives and children of soldiers who have lost their lives, making sure that men and women with families have a way to see their families on holidays, etc. So, you do something and shut up! Grow up!! Let these people mourn this man's death and stop knocking it.

I am confused. Are you saying that the person or persons that riddled Wright's body with bullet holes and left him in that field to become maggot meat did so on God's orders? WoW!!!!! What an amazing thought process you have. I would have never thought in a million years that this was a Divine Recall, I had just assumed it was because Lorenzen had chosen to live the life of a fool and tie himself to drug dealers and strippers.
Listen, let these people give their heart felt words to the family because at this point it does not matter what he was in, but that the family does not have to live through comments like this. Think about how yo uwould want somebody to treat you if you were going through this.
