I think what this article omits is the possibility that Blowden might not just not be that good. when he is healthy is plagued by foul trouble due to slow and uncoordinated feet work. He's show no signs of touch around the basket. What he does do good is rebound though. Other than that, he has a long way to go to be a good center in the league.

Jamesgang, you are dead on in your appraisal of Oden.
He has a several individual facets that speak to greatness, but in total he is not that good. He is a great tease.

Send Mike Conley to the Cavs and send Mo Williams on down the road.

Oden: what an embarrassment to the folks of Portland. OK, he's had some personal health issues but given the fact that he's also enjoying his millions during his "downtime", sending porno pictures of himself on his cell phone, etc, just doesn't endear the folks of Portland.

Good luck Greg, wherever you land. Here's hoping for the best for you!

The Cav's should bring those guys back to Ohio to play where nobody else seems to want to go. Ohio boys don't mind playing in Ohio.

He was starting to really come around last season before his injury. He only played 20 minutes a game and still avg 11 pts and 9 rebounds. That roughly averages out to about 20 points and 18 rebounds a game over 40 minutes...I think most teams in the NBA would love to have a player put up those types of numbers. The guy just needs to stay healthy, which for some reason he hasnt been able to do.

This is a Perfect example of three kids going to the NBA to early in their career. Seriously, these guys weren't ready. I know its hard to turn down the Millions of dollars which was flashed in front of their faces. Mike Conley needed another two years to work on his game & bulk up. Daequan Cook needed alot more. He needed to work on his ball handling, driving to the basket & his defensive presence. Now, Greg Oden. I seriously think he should of stayed longer & developed his game & body more. Another year or two in college, he could have gotten stronger & developed offensive skills other than dunking a basketball.

Don't get me wrong, I Luv all three of those guys. I just think they left too early & are now going through some Major growing pains.

Thats why Evan Turners My Hero !!!

Even though all three of these guys were talented freshmen for the OSU basketball team, they should have stayed in school for at least two more seasons and left after their junior years (Evan Turner approach). Most players are not a Lebron James or Kobie Bryant NBA talent at 18-19 years old. Maturity and experience are needed in more young athletes.
