Until today, it seemed like you were "holding back" on your thoughts regarding the Lakers, and the Pats almost losing at home against the Bills.
Sports Center had said that only 2 of the Lakers knew the triangle offense. That is what I was going on. It didn't sound right, but I haven't seen them play yet this year except an occasional highlight. What will happen to D'antoni if the Lakers lose his first 4 out of 5 games?
That's what I said. "Hello Phil, we were wondering if you are available"???

I dont know where you got that from, look back where I said "The Lakers arent winning shit" beginning on post # 800 I believe.

Its possible D'antoni loses the first games but, I doubt it. One thing we knew for sure, was that Brown was/is Clueless. If he (D'antoni) does fail however, off with his head. Too much money on the line on one of the biggest stages in the NBA. Maybe he is and maybe he isn't the right coach either but, he's exponentially better than Brown... IMO. People are crying about the lack of defense in D'antonis system but, where was it with the so called guru of defense "Mike Brown"? not in LA . So, He failed in that regard and he failed miserably offensively....IMO :)

Hope thats no holding back too much, let me know :)

As for the Pats...they need to shore up that D line and fix that secondary because well balanced teams like the Texans will show no mercy in exposing it further. Hopefully Talib steps up here.

Yeah, I was sweating out that final Bills drive. What was with the time management problem?
Are you hearing all the Jon Gruden rumors? I'm hoping that Cleveland fires Pat Shurmur and tries to go after Gruden. They have a new owner, Jimmy Haslem, and everybody is so glad the old one, Randy Lerner, is gone. Dallas, Philly and your Jets have their eye on him too.
Those flying monkeys use to scare me too! What a movie for it's day.
You better wait in a long ass line missy...

EVERYBODY wants a piece of Gruden!

What's going on with BB? Why can't he crack the code, and get this defense to play better? Andrew Luck is coming to town next, and he's not going to hold back. I agree, Brady needs the defense to do their job better. The Pats are lucky to have the 6-3 record.
Oh cmon, that would a terrific reality show! LOL

Well, personality wise, they would obviously clash but, he does posses the defensive savvy. As a HC he fails, but as a DC, he could turn our guys into an army of FOOT Soldiers.(welker) ;)

Id take his bro though, for sure.

<quoted text>Andy Reid fired the offensive line coach and defensive coach. It's all on him for the o line being so bad. As we saw last year if Vick has the time he can find the open receivers. Also they don't run the ball enough like they always have done in the past. Nick Foles will be hit A LOT if that line plays like they have been playing.
and he will...be hit alot.

Reid might as well kiss his fat ass goodbye. If anyone team needs the Gruden Grinder NOW, its the Philly Eagles IMO.

Part of that is on Patricia..the rest is on the players to execute. Its disgusting. The Pats are simply riding on that high powered offense.

The schedule shows the Pat's game vs the Colts to be at 1:00, but it's changed to 4:25.

That game in Dec against the 9ers is on the 16th. I think I previously said the 23rd.

Hey, I don't mind getting in the Gruden line. Some things in life are worth the wait. I miss that snarling face of his on the sideline. lol I like that show he has on the weekend when he talks to a player, and analyzes film regarding the player's methods. Do you know what show I'm thinking of? He really has quite the mind for football.

Gruden does the MNF analysis and conducts F.F.C.A., Fired Football Coaches Association in Tampa. I enjoy his pre-draft qb camp as well.Yes, Gruden has a brilliant football mind. He needs to wait for the next coaching spot in New England ;)

This is what all athletes, especially high profile/high salaried should do. Dont look at problem areas on paper, go out there and see whats up then plan a real plan to get the communtiy going so that they can continue to help each other. Many athletes simply donate money and have an entire PR campaign to show the world their GOOD DEEDS. The money runs out eventually. Gotta keep the flow going for them long after your contributions dissipate.

Please keep in mind some of these high profile athletes came from that world too and don't want to return there hence they simply donate. Thanks for posting but the way I viewed, it seem like a ticker tape parade for a president. Good for Kobe. All the same though.

Yeah, I know...thats EXACTLY why they should go back. Theyre not moving back into the neighborhood sammy and it wasn't a concentration camp run by neo-nazis LOL Just hard times..

Yeah, while Kobe's excursion into that hood is a humblng thing, there simply is no way to ensure his safety given his status so, he naturally has to have an entourage. They didnt look intimidating though atleast lol.

Yea I thought about that too. I guess he can't just walk into the hood. Yes, for a minute there I thought I saw Mike Brown in the opening minutes and realized it wasn't him. And I agree it is humbling. Mike Brown walking the hood right now may not be such a good idea.

Does this Mike Brown firing possiby putan end to his head coaching stint? Or does he now become an assistnt like all the other great has beens. Being fired in a short time obviously doesn't look to good on a resume and theres no lying being in the public eye. Any thoughts?

I was referring to recent events with the Lakers. "Waiting for the other shoe to drop" was referring to whoever was the next coach to come in and lose.

He says he's ready now. It has something to do with one of his tv contracts being up.

I'm in line WAY ahead of you for these Browns that need more help than New England. I mean, who is going to want to follow His Majesty? Wouldn't ya want a real challenge to prove your greatness?

I don't think Gruden is coming back to coaching because he is already loving his easy mondy night gig. I wouldn't mind seeing him coach again because the faces he made were classic Chucky lol. I think coaches like him and Cowher may be done with coach, but I have been wrong before. As for the time mangement problems, that was almost a brain fart for them and I don't expect that to happen again. I would have had Brady throw the ball also when they were driving to put up td to seal it at the end.

Wow that sucks for the Steelers. Charlie Batch is better than Sandwich and I think the Ravens will beat them this sunday. Even though it's in Pittsburg and the Ravens defense is not what it once was, I still think the Ravens will win. Maybe Ben will come back for that game in Baltimore. I hate to see him get hurt because that was going to be the game of the week.
