Nah.....I think you are jumping to conclusions. The pups have tinkered with their lineups all year long, in an effort to find a spark, or two.
While I would never discount the possibility of a trade, it could easily be Big Al rather than KLove (if a trade even happens). Big Al isn't much of a defender, makes considerably more in salary, and is older. Love has more versatility, plays harder on defense, and is still on his rookie contract. Big Al probably brings more in return, especially from a team that thinks it is just a low post player away from competing for a title.
I think I take Kahn and Kurt at their word. Nothing happens until the Wolves have a better chance to see what they really have. Consider this the "Hollins phase" of finding out what a player can, and can't, do. This is much like the "Wilkins phase" that we went through earlier in the season, as well as the "Pecherov phase" from the first month.
You are reading too much into this. You may ultimately be right, or wrong in your assesment of Love, but that is not the right takeaway from Hollings getting some burn currently.
