BURLISON: Clippers getting ready for the summer of LeBron

Full story: Daily Breeze

It might be a long shot, but the Clippers are expected to be among teams making sales pitches to LeBron James, who tops one of best groups of unrestricted free agents in NBA history They'll come not extolling the opportunity to get a "first-class" education and help lead a college program to a Final Four.

"But if it comes down to who has the most talent already in place on a roster, the Clippers - with a veteran point guard (Baron Davis), promising shooting guard (Eric Gordon), All-Star-caliber center (Chris Kaman) and possible Rookie of the Year at power forward (Blake Griffin), as well as a couple of 2010 first-round draft picks on hand - can offer James more than any other suitor, other than possibly the Bulls. "

Bulls would be exciting for me to see happen...but I would LOVE to see him come to the Clippers....WE WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN ARMS!!

As intriging as it sounds, do you think Kobe and Lebron can exist in the same city. Also that would be a nightmare for the NBA. They would like to market Lebron in either Chicago or New York. I know Stern loves L.A. but not when it affects his NBA check book. But yes, the Clippers would become one dynamite team if James came on board. But if not Lebron, how about Dirk?

You would think it would be good for LA, cause tehn two home teams would rival...Clipper tickets would go from 10 bucks a pop for 300 row seats to 60 bucks a pop!

I wouldnt mind seeing him on Chicago too, became a fan after they picked up D. Rose...now that kid can ball.

Dirk? Sure! But you really think he would leave Dallas after being there for so long?
