It is critical that the Cavs do - indeed - resign Z in 30 days because the prospect of going into the post-season with just Shaq in the Center spot (good for 24 productive minutes a game) is concerning. Being able to use Shaq & Z simultaneously or to spell one another has been an unstoppable combo this season.

The Cavs lost last night to Denver and Z's absence was evident.

While I agree Z's absence was felt, I think the bigger issue with last nights game was the fact we couldn't buy a free throw. We hit like 56% as a team. That is terrible. I do think big Z will be bought out and he will resign with the Cavs. All the way this year.

The Cav's were very good with out Jamison but now the should be almost if not perfect. I like the new look of the team. The way i see it James should stay if they win it all or not. They put the guys around him and it is up to him to make it work. He is on the floor not the coach or any one else that on or over the team. I think if they don't try as hard and force anything they are the team to beat.

The ideal is 4 Z to come back. The Cav's will need another big man in the middle if they want to win it all.

I heard the Wizards made another trade before the deadline with money and picks that put them under the tax, will they still buy out Z? I surely hope so!

Bad writing.

"Stoudemire is explosive and capable of dominating on both ends of the floor"

Mike, both ends of the floor implies that he can dominate on defense. Amar'e isn't prone to defensive lapses, unless you're counting the lapse that started the day he entered the NBA. You hit a few things on the head with Amar'e, but the guy is a screen door on defense.

Comparing Jamison to Rasheed Wallace isn't encoruaging. Sheed's be lazy this year. He hides in the corner waiting for the ball and when he gets it he's shooting at a lower perceentage. He is actually hurting the Celtics. Kevin Garnett is also a lousy comparison because KG isn't that rangy and Jamison isn't as strong near the basket. Aside from being tall and black, AJ and KG aren't alike at all.

The Rashard Lewis comparison might be most appropriate, except that Jamison won't force shots and that's a big deal. The big down side to Jamison is that he's a dead end on offense. Once the ball gets to him he either shoots it or turns it over. He's not a selfish player, but he doesn't pass well.

I like the trade. Jamison is a flexible player who can camp on the wing or mix it up on the block. The TNT guys seemed to thing that Cleveland has too many power forwards the people they have at that spot can drift anywhere from the 2 to the 4. Andy is a power forward who really plays like a center and LeBron can make anybody look good. In fact, that's a big part of the reason JJ looks impressive.

I though Shaq was a big liability as well. He missed a lot of easy shots early and forced the Cavs to go outside. Post break rust, no big deal.

This is second Arace column I've read in which he's adopted Yoda-speak. I wish he'd stop that.

The free-throws were abysmal last night, but Shaq wasn't a liability, at one point he went what, 8-for8 from the floor? The other big liability after the free throws was defense- they couldn't make a stop when they had to.

I never heard Telfair compared to LeBron. Telfair is a 6-foot point guard, James a 6-8 forward. When did anyone, even when Telfair was a HS phenom, say he was the next LeBron James????

Did you just put this column together by copying and pasting other columns from the Cleveland media and national media? Bad column. Stick to writing about the Blue Jackets and drooling over that lousy goalie they have.

Not only does he think so but so do the rest of us! Hello! But just like the begining of the season they will have to learn how to play together. When that happens they will begin their march to the RING!!!!!

Why another boobach Ferry?
LeBron can't carry Cavs to promised land because he plays street ball.
And, the real Superman is down in Orlando.
