Full story: The New York Times

In the N.B.A., its owners, players, and even the media that cover the game, it's time to point every finger they've got.

Naw the owners and commissioner is a joke. How should they get the money when they aren't the one playing? Makes no sence its time for a change. Players should get most of the revenue because they are the ones out there busting their butts and breaking limbs at the end of the day.
Owners sit and watch the game. Why should money go to them first?

Lol u obviously aren't down to earth. Why should more of the money go to the owners? Because theyre the bleeping owners!!!!! If you owned a company in a bad economy would u want to pay ur skilled workers more and watch ur business go down and out. Think about it why do things have to be spelled out for people wake up. Im a skilled construction worker I guess I should be making more then my boss/owner then he can lose his business and I can lose my 80k a year, no thanks lol

Thanks big pimpin, the owners are doing what they have to do and that's what's best for the game to keep franchises alive, competitive, and still paying their talent a butt load of money. the players union is just being dumb and prideful. And I say players union because I'd bet 60-70 percent of the players want to take the deal and play and get paid TO PLAY

I agree with you. The hell with the owners and the players.Id love to see the league go under. We live in a time when people need to get real. If pro basketball fans had any sence at all they would be so sick and tired of theses spoiled palyers and owners they would stop spending hard earn money to watch these ungaretful morons run up and down the floor and cry they dont make enough money. I wonder what they do if they had to go out and work at a job they really didnt care for makeing 7.25 a hour like alot of people do every day. I say the hell with them .

These players may now have to take the degrees they earned in college and find work elsewhere.

A bad economy affects the sports world too athletes! people all over this country are taking pay cuts, hours lost, jobs lost, lives lost! Nba owners have to tweek a few things not for the sake of themselves but for their franchise so it still exists 10yrs from now. And if that means cutting your 8 million per yr salary to 7.5 mill or taking shorter contracts then do it, I know it sounds rough lol, but it's the world we live in now. Selfishness being displayed to it's highest level.

Reports have leaked that the holdup in negotiations is the players wanting to get paid on the 1st and 15th of each month with hard spendable cash in attache cases. Neat $100.00 and $50.00 dollar bills only.
No checks, direct deposits, or foreign banks involved.

Who you kidding, Leery Burd? The players want cash twice a month in $100 bills? You give yourself away when you throw in 'or $50 bills.' Just whose 'report' is that, pal? YOu are screwing up this thread with your low-life story. You must be the relative of an owner or something to spew these lies. Let's get down and come to an agreement somewhere in the middle. Not especially leaning one way or the other. I personally think the owners have to break the deadlock or the season will never be played. Too bad for the fans.

Lets just call a truce and disband the NBA. The owners wont part with enough money, well let them just choke on what they have. I'm sure most of the other players can find jobs in other sports.

With the lockout settled, attendance will be waaaaay down. Fans are spending money on the holidays, hockey, and future baseball games.

It will be easy to hear fans farting in the seats if watching any games on TV.
