1 by mid season there may be a contending team that would want to take Jackson on, and maybe the Warriors will have to pay $10M or so to offload the contract. Cleveland might be good - I'd take Anderson Varejao, he's an active forward. |

Mid season is a looooong ways away. Lots of time for SJax to do almost anything. Let's see how he does, emotionally and physically, once the season starts next.

Bewitched: No offense, but I would have said the same thing about SJax last year.

Bewitched: Neither Andy or Stephen's contracts are shabby at all. I wish you better luck with Andy than we've had with Stephen.

Andy has gotten better every year and I think having Shaq around can only HELP everybody improve, especially if we get into post season. What's the deal with Stephen, anyway??? |

Good question. Stephen came to us as part of a crazy good mid season trade with the Pacers in 2007. He turned his act around from thug to a leader on and off the floor. Last year he lobbied ownership and got a $28 Million dollar 3 year extension that kicks in after this season. At the end of this past offseason, he announced that he didn't want to play for oakland any more. That he wanted to play for a team with a shot like the Nicks (WHAT the HECK????). He got fined $25K, said he didn't want to be a Captain or role model any more, but that he would still play hard. He then get's 5 fouls and a technical in 10 minutes of preseason against Kobe, yells at coach Nelson and gets a 2 game suspension. I think he needs to review his medications with his doctor. I think he's getting bad advice. I think this is a lousy time to try an shop a fat contract on an aging player with a bad attitude. Oh well. Houston tomorrow night, less Ming and McGrady. GO WARRIORS!!!
