We all knew the ride had to come to an end, but how soon it starts-up again will be subject of much debate. Joe Dumars has shown a penchant for idnetifying good deals and steals. It is my hope that big namers who want a team with dicernable pedigree will see Detroit as the quickest route to NBA Championship lore. That said, we would lob=ve to have a Dwight Howard or Chris Bosch to repalce the aging Wallace in the low Post. Their style of play harkens back to Detroiitt Basketballll...

Dude, that's not going to happen because:

1.Neither Bosh nor Howard will be a free agent next season.

2.In 2 season's Bosh will be a free agent, but so will Rodney Stuckey (who is going to demand big money from the city of Detroit).+ Toronto will likely re-sign Chris Bosh to a long term deal before anyone can even talk to the Raptors about a trade since Shaun Marrion will be a free agent next season and count 20 mill against the Cap. And the same goes for Howard, MARK MY WORDS THE ORLANDO MAGIC WILL FIND A WAY TO KEEP HIM and not make the same mistake they did with Shaq back in 1996.

3.Maybe Detroit will sign Carlos Boozer (big maybe), but even if they do, he will demand big money and Wallace, AI, and McDyess will be gone and they will still have to pony up enough money to re-sing Rodney Stuckey and a few other draft picks from the past seasons.

4.Lets be completely honest here, your stolen team from Detroit who turned all their fans into convicts is in a rebuilding stage and my Pacers will likely take their spot in the playoffs next season. So if your stolen team from Detroit who turned all their fans into convicts wants to be in contention for an NBA title again, them and little Joey Dumars are going to have to get back in contention for an NBA title through the NBA draft and believe me that takes time.
