Kasich will run the Casino's out of Ohio before they open. He seems to have an agenda to work against the people of Ohio instead of working for them. WE ALL NEED TO GET OUT AND VOTE IN NOVEMBER, EVERY YEAR. It's high time we put a stop to the GOP rhetoric about helping the people of Ohio. Do we really need to train those who are already employed? This issue makes no sense at all when so many are unemployed in our state. Why don't they use that money to help the unemployed, the hungry, the homeless, the people losing their homes. These are issues that don't concern the GOP, you will only hear about it in their campaign promises with no action to follow. Our political system is a joke, not only in Ohio, but Nationwide. These guys are elected because they can buy the most TV ads and smear their opponent the best. It's actually disgusting to watch those ads that dominate our television sets before every election. It gets so sickening that you want to throw up.

Brian, the job retraining money is primarily for people who have lost their jobs. We're not going to need as many realtors and mortgage brokers as we had before the real estate crash. The auto industry is going to be smaller, etc.

This commentary is nothing more than a "I told you so." The bill as badly written as it was passed and a commission was formed to oversee it. I didn't like it or vote for it but it is law. If Kasich wants to change it then let him get signatures to repeal the law and put it on the ballot. Sorry to break the news but Kasich is not King.

This is what happens when you tinker with the state constitution this way. It is a bad deal and we need to reamend the consitution to allow gambling but leave the rest to the legislature. These issues cannot be fixed there because we allowed a corporation to write it into our constitution. That is not what the State Constitution is meant for. I hope the voters who supported the casinos have learned their lesson!!

It wasn't their lesson to learn.

It was the legislature that dropped the ball.

The legislature was always in the position to send a simple gambling amendment to the voters for approval. In fact, they could have done that at the same time the written by corporate interests gambling amendment was put on the ballot. The simpler amendment would have won and gone to the constitution instead.

The legislature chose not to be leaders on the issue, and let the corporate monopoly amendment go to the ballot instead. Ohio voters were ready for gambling, no matter what amendment was being presented to them.

The Republican adults always have to clean up the mess made by the Democrat children. The smart people are getting out of Ohio and especially out of Columbus.
