Hypocrite for Governor wrote: <quoted text> So you support imposing taxes on a business that wants to bring jobs to the state? Thank you for clarifying. Shame on us liberals! Prior to 2005 businesses paid income and property tax. Our tax structure was said to be driving business out of the state and was changed. The solution they came up with was the CAT tax, which is a very small tax on revenues and is similar to how Texas taxes businesses. The CAT tax was designed with the input of business and was especially designed to make the state more competitive to attract manufacturing. Bottom line is that they already get enough of a break because they only have to pay the CAT tax. Besides, they were the ones who promised to pay all customary taxes in the constitutional amendment THEY WROTE THEMSELVES. Bottom line: LIBERALS ARE HYPOCRITES. THEY ARE ONLY AGAINST TAX BREAKS FOR THE RICH WHEN REPUBLICANS PROPOSE THEM. LIBERALS LOVE BILLIONAIRES AND RICH CORPORATIONS WHEN THEY ARE IN THEIR POCKETS!!! HYPOCRITES!!!

Hypocrite for Governor wrote: <quoted text> Does kroger also pay 33% of their gross receipts in tax? Sounds like double taxation. It's also comparing apples to oranges. Do we need to have an accountant with a calculator at every blackjack table, detailing every 'raise' or double down? And this isn't about fairness. Kasich himself said he wants to tax the heck out of them to get more leverage. Think before you speak. Kroger didn't write their own constitutional amendment, pal. The constitutional amendment is very clear and it was written by the rich billionaire and evil corporation you support: (The casino) "shall (further) be subject to all customary non-discriminatory fees, taxes, and other charges that are applied to, levied against, or OTHERWISE IMPOSED GENERALLY UPON OTHER OHIO BUSINESSES, their gross or net revenues, their operations, their owners, and their property."

Enzyte Bob wrote: <quoted text> WOW. Kroger pays the CAT tax on gross revenues (no deduction for the cost of the merchandise it sells). All Kasich is telling them is that they have to pay tax the same way Kroger and everybody else pays it, and as they themselves wrote into the constitution, and you liberals call that an "increase"? Simply WOW! Congratulations on exposing yourself as another liberal who loves rich billionaires (Dan Gilbert) and evil corporations (they don't get much more evil than Penn National). I didn't know there were so many of you. Is that "rich" billionaires as opposed to "poor" billionaires?

I'm laughing at liberal dogma about tax cuts for the "rich" and Kasich being "rich", but you compulsive gamblers can't even wait long enough Kasich to negotiate a better deal for the state. Your poker tables can't wait! Like I said, all addicts are compulsive and all compulsive people live for the moment. You gamblers are showing your true colors. LMAO!

And it's amazing how much you are in favor of all these new taxes on a business that had to write their own amendment to be able to do business in this state. Blame the Republicans for that, they dropped the ball year after year. But you somehow blame "liberals" who want to tax the rich?!? Seriously, you are crazy.

Now take your ritalin and see if you can focus long enough to read: (2) A thirty-three percent tax shall be levied and collected by the state on all gross casino revenue received by each casino operator of these four casino facilities. IN ADDITION, casino operators, their operations, their owners, and their property shall be subject to all customary non-discriminatory fees, taxes, and other charges that are applied to, levied against, or OTHERWISE IMPOSED GENERALLY UPON OTHER OHIO BUSINESSES, their gross or net revenues, their operations, their owners, and their property.

Those in government do not care what we approved. Coleman and the Dispatch are the worst of the lot fighting against the columbus area casino all the way. Kasich isn't helping deliver what Ohioans approved.

Ohio doesn't need casinos. Needs about 300 abortion clinics for teenage unwed mothers. Make it 400
