Josh Smith leads Atlanta Hawks past Miami Heat 90-64 in Game 1 ...

This is why the Atlanta Hawks wanted to start the playoffs at home. With Josh Smith delivering one rim-shaking dunk after another and plenty of teammates chipping in, the Hawks made Miami look like a one-man team, running Dwyane Wade and the Heat ragged for a 90-64 blowout in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference playoff series Sunday night. The Heat need a TRUE CENTER! We have missed Zo and Shaq's inside presence.

The Heat were out rebounded 50-35. Not acceptable. Getting slammed on and out rebounded shows we need a center!

The Heat just made too many adjustments. For one Magloire who's been in the rotation as of late and is one of the most consistent rebounders didn't see a minute of action. Two, you had Beasley playing hot and all of a sudden you want to go back to UD who was out for a week. And three, Jamario Moon who was a starter until getting injured didn't see action until 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Am I missing something?

F'n idiot coach trying out every possible lineup in the first game of the playoffs??? He's a joke and way over his head.

Experiment all season but he refused to play Beasley until an injury forced him to and now we have no clue what our rotation is.

You know its bad when your starting PG in the playoffs is a rookie. Then again we all knew it was bad when the season started and we had to use our PF as our C.

We tout DWade as MVP so obviously you can't depend on him in the playoffs cause he will get double teamed and we know we have no one to step up when he's not playing.

Try again next year, with a real roster, experience, anything besides the one man show.

that was the worst effort i saw from a group of guys that wanted to turn this playoffs into something positive..Quite frankly, i hate to say this but even Wade wasn't himself out there. I thought they were all forcing shots instead of trying to drive to the paint and make some noise.

I'm a huge Miami Heat fan, and i most definitely want them to win this series. But i have to be honest, the game they played today was beyond reckless.

As a die hard fan, i'd like to see a better Game 2 and beyond. I changed the channel after halftime.

The Heat are not a very good team, only a average team with a great player. Their regular season success was watered down because of the weak Eastern Conference. They do not have the talent or intensity from players 2-8 to make an impact in these playoffs. If you can't compete with the Hawks, that says enough right there.

a little off topic, but wade SHOULD NOT GET MVP because he is a liablity. yes he scores and dishes assists, but how about his turnovers? he has the most turnovers of anybody in the league. how about when he turns it over and whines and doesnt get back on defense fast enough and the other team ends up scoring on a fastbreak? how about wade missing ft's when they matter? how is that mvp material? wade will miss 10 shots, but then when he makes a lucky, acrobatic shot, suddenly he's the best player in the nba and everyone forgets his previous misses. 8 turnovers? and seriously, im surprised no one has mention the ignorance of wade. he took the last couple of games off so he could relax. he was asked if that would make him rusty and he rplied that he will shoot himself back into rhythm. he should already know its the playoffs and no team can afford to have a player shoot large volumes of shot to get into rhythm. unfortunately, i think the heat will be swept.

DISGUSTING; ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. They should all be ashamed of themselves for that "effort". There's absolutely no way they're going to be even remotely close in this series; sweep for sure.

that team looked pretty lost out there tonight. Hawks could take this in five. They are a team that is not just happy to be in the playoffs.

And what's with the no partying rule? What are they gonna do, sit in the hotel and watch tape? These dudes need to unwind a bit, let go of some of the stress and pressure.

This is ridiculous. Coach Spoelstra babied D-Wade & Jermaine O'neal. By allowing them to sit at the end of the regular season broke up the team chemistry and thats why they was destroyed by the godamn hawks.

Wade needs to be traded. I am tired of all of his turn-overs and complaining. This team needs to start
over again. Also, Spo needs to go as well. He does not know how to organize a team.

In 2010 Wade will be gone.He plays better when the ball does not have be in his hands all the time. Jermaine O'neal was a waste of money. He has nothing left in the tank. The Hawks made the Heat look like boys amoung men.

Terrible rotations ALL YEAR and still not cohesive. No production from the 4 and 5. This series won't go six.
