Showtime wrote: <quoted text> Don't get me wrong Nash is an excellent pg, but he needs certain type of players to be the Steve nash we all know, hes not use to playing with 2 bigs who clog the middle, hes not use to not having great 3 point shooting around him, he must be scratching his head at this point. D'antoni isn't use to this either, lakers have been built for the slower half court offense this whole time, they just need to get back to that, nash will have to adjust. What they can do is try to speed it up for the first few seconds, if they can get a easy shot out of it so be it, if not then quickly set up into your positions, that's what phil begin doing with the triangle when it wasn't working all the time. So right, we're on the same page regarding Nash needing a similar set up like he had in Phoenix to be at his best. I always viewed that as Nash was surrounded by athletic 3pt shooters and he just improvised each trip down the floor as opposed to a "system". Tomato, tomato right?

Steve is one of the best passing point guards, one of the best if not the best shooting pg of all time, he can always could get inside but at his age its a little harder, I think it be hard for just about any pg to do magic with this team unless your chris paul which in my opinion is the best, maybe westbrook, also parker has done a great job with a half court style team, D will did a great job in a half court team, thats only a few guys tho, the rest of the league might look like they have brilliant pgs because they all run run n gun systems, which really helps PGS out, even if they aren't very talented. There aren't many pgs who can play slow and fast and not have it affect their game, steve is in the twilight of his career so thats a big part of it.

_Jusayin_ wrote: <quoted text> I dont see how you're being overly critical. I guess a guy with speed and finishing ability could only help but what about the 4 other players who can't/wont run and who need to set up in a half court offense for obvious reasons? I think most Laker fans will agree that if this team was young and full of speed with a couple 3pt shooters D'Antoni would be a decent fit or if they told us give us 3 years and we'll deliver a title with D'Antoni but the way it is right now with these players and these promises? To add just 1 speedster isn't enough. It has to be at least 2 with some speed like a James Worthy/Marion type or even a quick and fast pg and a fast SF/F. It'd just be too hard to be a 1 man fast break all the time. Beggers can't be choosers. Sure we all would want all 5 guys to be young agile and full of energy but lets face reality here. We don't live in a perfect world I would much rather have a fast winger than none. Which clearly Lakers do no have. No offense here but perhaps you are just facing life and reality. What goes up must come down. I have read everything from Mitch to Buss to Nash to princeton system to whatever to blame for this crisis. I agree with Show, Media does this, and makes this organization as a bunch of perfectionist. Nothing is perfect. People make mistakes. Life is always about improving. So on that note, relax and count it as one of life's aspects.

Alot of the opinions on what the Lakers should do and why they didn't do is all speculative. None of us know anything behind the scenes. Yes there are many reasons why they are playing poorly but there are things we don't know either.

@jussayin i wasn't coming across as bold, Things happen for a reason. Top team are allowed to crash, thats what makes them that much better down the road. Lakers have too much tradition to let it go that easily.

Showtime wrote: <quoted text> Lakers are literally a joke, I hear them getting made fun of on the radio, just last night some guys I never listened to at night on the radio, were like "Lakers lose another road game, can you believe it!!(sarcasm) " "so and so has as many birthdays as the lakers have seasons" then the whole moral victories thing, it is really a joke, why in the hell did D'antoni take this job? he may not ever get another chance again to be head coach, Mike brown is looking better at this point thats how sad it is lol. I am also getting annoyed with laker fans, I understand they are frustrated but they keep bringing up phil, phil phil, I mean the guy never said he was gonna come back, and we can't keep relying on phil every time to come save the franchise, lakers gotta get past phil and find the next head coach to lead this team. Nellie?

Spears: Charlotte Bobcats say they are engaged in due diligence on the possibility of being the Hornets again, but decline comment until conclusion. Twitter @SpearsNBAYahoo The Observer obtained a copy of the survey Harris emailed to various Bobcats season-ticket holders Wednesday. The electronic survey takes about 30 minutes to fill out, and asks all sorts of questions about the Bobcats, the Hornets and the general perception of what would sell more game tickets and team gear. One question, about halfway through Harris’ survey, is the crux of the issue:“If the Bobcats were to change their nickname to the ‘Hornets,’ would you attend more games than you currently do, attend fewer games, or attend about the same amount?” Charlotte Observer on a side note, the code is 1111, which is my bday 11/11

I'm wondering why the Lakers don't just go back to the interim coach they had before D'Antoni arrived. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1416715-lo...
