were all on steroids and probably Jordan too. I'm pretty sure their main drug of choice was testosterone those days. These days it's (less) testosterone + hgh + epo and maybe insulin. Perhaps that's why players are less "roid-ragey" these days (have you noticed?).. apart from Artest lol who's obviously on testosterone too.
"NBA veteran Charles Oakley re-ignited the basketball league's smoldering controversy over drug use among players last week when he told the New York Post that the league's drug testing policy was "a joke" and that more than half of league players are regular marijuana smokers."
Funny how he doesn't mention the big bad "steroids" word.'Maybe' because HE was on them too.
"But even so, the National Basketball Players' Association (NBPA)-- the players' union -- fought vigorously to restrict testing and to protect the rights and privacy of players." NBA corruption right there ^^
"[Drug use] is not just a problem in sports, it's a problem in the world today. Matter of fact, some of you guys behind the microphones and the cameras, maybe 60% of you guys..." Exactly ^^
"Here is what I could find on the NBA policy on steroids... Frequency of testing • First-year players tested once during training camp and three times during regular season • Veteran players are tested once during training camp • Reasonable cause testing for all players"
"VETERAN PLAYERS ARE ONLY TESTED ONCE DURING TRAINING CAMP" apparently. Now you know why Lebron shrinks in the off season and soon after the season starts he looks like a bodybuilder. I bet they don't even test him + Wade, Ibaka, Howard...
There is a LOT of drug use going on in the NBA just like ALL sports. And I'm not just talking about weed.
