If Dwayne Wade wins MVP, it would be a miracle. Its not that he dont deserve it, but he simply cant get any respect. He is the one player in the NBA that reminds me of Michael Jordan. People can talk about LeBron and Kobe just because they have no good teammates and they have to do it all, but Miami has a lot of good role players. Wade makes the players around him better. Kobe is selfish, James is selfish, and and AI cant get the job done on the court. Dwayne is a great player even with all the other guys getting shots too. If Dwayne dont get the MVP, it should go to Nash, but to h*** and back with the Suns.

Sorry, I think that Wade is a fabulous player, but not there with Kobe just yet. Wade is not yet in the same class as Kobe when it comes to defense. Look at their head to head matchups and you'll see. The only thing that I like about Wade over Kobe at this time is that he drives more frequently to the hoop whereas Kobe would rather pull up for a fadeaway jumper or take the three. Kobe is just a much more polished scorer and defender than Wade and is about to CARRY the Lakers into the playoffs without Shaq!!! Kobe also defends the opposing teams best player, something you hardly find Wade or Lebron doing. Wade is a great player and along with Lebron is the future of the NBA.

Are you dumb dude. Dwyane Wade has 2 triple doubles and is flirting with one almost every game. He often doesn't get to play enough minutes when he is near one because there's no reason. Most of the time when he's close to one the team is up by so much that Pat benches him so he won't get hurt. Lebron has 6 triple doubles. This is why no one respects you. You just make up random stats that are WRONG. Lebron is good, don't get me wrong, but face it. Lebron will be in the playoffs for the 1st time this year. Flash has never missed the playoffs. I give the edge to Dwyane though I have Chauncy and Nash ahead of him. Nash is MVP.

Heat can go to h***. KB8 "Ruthless, Cold Blooded Killer". Dwade hang it up Kobe had you beat from the womb. Love him or hate him, it's one or the other. All NBA, All Defensive Team, 3 time Champion. When Dwade has these types of credentials, then mention his name with Kobe. For now Dwade should just be Wade until he can play some D-fense and then we can call him Dwade. For all you Laker and Kobe haters, do your homework before you post something that makes you sound stupid. Don't just say things to say it, back it up with facts. Regardless of who your favorite player is, post some facts in spite of your haterism. As good as Wade is, he hasn't been on the All NBA first team, All Defensive Team or won a Championship. If he never wins one with Shaq, people will make excuses like Shaq was to old or wasn't his dominant self. If the Heat don't make it this year, their chances of ever winning a Championship will be slim.

He's was on the All defensive Team last year you idiot. Kobe wasn't. How can you criticize his D? He's getting more SPG than Kobe in less MPG. Flash is getting 1.92 SPG to Kobe's 1.76. Like Riley said, Wade has the potential to become a Bruce Bowen like defender. That will come with maturity. He's only in his 3rd year.

Careful you moron with the name calling. Kobe was on the all defensive team for several years and he's only 27 you idiot. Check out their head to head matchups and you'll see who defended who better you piece of crap!!! All I'm saying is that Wade is a special player, just not at the same level as Kobe. So get your head out of your a**!!!

I just love the way all of you are into bashing each other. Let us not forget the prize in this case is "Most Valuable Player" which should be interpreted as who is the most valuable to their teams success. I am a devoted fan of Dwayne Wade and think he will be MVP many times over before he retires, but he is not the MVP of the heat simply because they have two MVP candidates in Shaq and Wade. As much as I despise the Pistons I feel that if they did not have Billups they would not be there today. They would still be a good team but not the dominating team as they are. So for now I say Billups and will wait my turn to say WADE.

Thanks Kelly,
I would agree with you about Billups if he didn't have 3 other all stars and a future all star in Prince playing alongside him. Wade is a great player no doubt, but I would give it to Kobe this year because he's carried the Lakers to the playoffs. No one gave the Lakers a chance to make it this year. If we were to take away each MVP candidate from their respective team, which team would be the worst right now? Without question it would probably be the Lakers. That's how I determine value. Probably only the Suns would be in the same race if they lost Nash, but even Nash has Shawn Marion who is also an All Star. Every other candidate has another All Star(s) playing with him. That says a lot right there. Lebron and Wade have All Star Centers, Nowitzki has Stackhouse, Billups has 3 All Stars, Duncan and Parker, Carmelo has Andre Miller who was an All Star. The closest Kobe has is Lamar Odom who is finally getting it together. Kobe has carried the Lakers on his back into the playoffs. Much props to Wade.

Go for a brainwash to clean away the kobe-is-surely-the-mvp-this-ye ar virus. No doubt he's one of the greatest player currently in the nba now, but obviously basketball is a team sport. Nash is great in building a unselfish suns last year, and this year too since many of last year's player have been traded for new players. Many playing around him is enjoying a career year. If given this suns team to kobe, do you really think they can be as good? On the other hand, it doesnt seems to be much problem if nash is given the current lakers. If you want to argue that nash has marion to help him, why not say lakers hav Phil Jackson as a coach. D'Antoni isnt a great coach until nash arrived last year, similar to odom isnt on the track until late of the season. And lastly, mind you, LeBron's was with his all star center last year and the year before last which Cavs didnt make it to the playoff. So it is not fair to say Lebron can play in the playoff because he has an all star center playing next to him.

Hey Sam you're cool, but don't tell me to get a brainwash when I'm thinking just as clear as you do. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Here's the difference between the players that Nash plays with in comparison to the ones that Kobe has. Nash has guys who can flat out shoot the ball. Compare the shooting percentages of Bell, Barbosa, Marion, Diaw, House and Tim Thomas with that of the Laker players Kobe has around him. Kobe would probably have close to 10 assists a night if his players could hit shots(surely you agree if you've watched Laker games). Even most of Odom's assists are to Kobe. Also keep in mind the make up of the teams surrounding their star player. There's no way you can argue that the Suns didn't assemble a squad of shooters to compliment Nash. They even traded for Tim Thomas because of his shooting ability. Nash had a similar cast in Dallas before he left. Would Nash have the same success with this current Laker squad? Hell no!!! You would be crazy to think that!!! Have you seen how many passes Kwame Brown and Chris Mihm have bobbled , lost out of bounds or turned over to the other team?!!! I've seen enough Laker games to know. As for Lebron, he's a great player that has a better cast as well. At least his big men can shoot and handle the ball better in the post. Now he has Flip Murray, Marshall, Snow, Jones and Gooden. Watch the Lakers against the Suns this Sunday and watch how many times Kobe passes to an open teammate that misses the shot. After you tally it up, post it on Monday. Catch you later Sam.

Can't you see? They're only shooting such high percentages (career-highs, for that matter) because of the greatness of Nash's passing abilities. They're tlaneted, but have become more talented because they have Nash, the guy that never makes bad passes- almost all are perfect. Obviously Kobe's passes aren't perfect.
