Are you out of your mind? The Cavs franchise started up in 1970 in Cleveland. Why WOULD CLE give up their name in '83 to a takeover? CLE didn't give up the Browns name. CLE teams names stay in CLE. Toronto Cavaliers? lmao
I never mentioned anything about Toronto Cavaliers. All I said was that there was a potential move. So Steptein thought a genious move was to and he did starta CBA team which failed miserably. They played in a cold University gym. Chee I thought Cavaliers fans would be fully aware of their potential loss. Be thankful Gund stepped in.

Sticking to the issue. How provoking is an article that spells it out? I would think your comment is a tad provoking.

Well, this BIMBO says that she doesn't have to look it up on wikipedia to know what the climate was around here regarding "the takeover."

Are you implying it never happened? Sorry Ted iss 30ft under to explain. Guess news articles are as phoney as Wiki? Come on now B. If you were not aware of it how well do you really know your Cavs? Yea wiki sure fabricates during a time I was fully aware. Its ok. We have our team you have yours.

I find it funny b that you twisted what I said and seems you couldnmt accept something that could have happened and didn't. Its ok no one taking your cavs. Relax.

What I've noticed with B is even if it's fact or your own perception/opinion and it differs from hers, she'll blast you when it comes to the Cavs or LBJ with no remorse. Really though, if you're a true Cavs fan or fan of any club, why wouldn't you want to take a couple minutes out and read some history about your franchise?

<quoted text>LOL I never liked the name, but it was a gimmick in 94 to attract the young when the franchise started. It was Zeke's final decision back then as he was our GM after he retired. More so the gimmicky logo until they brought in the claw. By today's standards the name is worn out. My suggestion would be bring back the original team name from the 40's (Huskies) or the name that we were suppose to have in 83 when we were to take over the Cavs. Call them the Towers. On the bottom of the list would be Tornadoes or Torpedos We are a city of very large sky scrappers. There are over 106 building being constructed currently as i may have mentioned to you before.
I DO like the Towers a lot. Sounds bold and imposing. I'd vote for that name. Sure beats the New Orleans Pelicans =/

You're twisting it. I knew about the takeover, and everyday it was blasted across the tv, radio and newspapers. I know more about it than wiki reports. Don't twist things.
