BROWN HAS HIS MOMENTS BUT MY PATIENCE HAS WORN THIN WITH THE BIG GUY- REGARDLESS OF HIS INJURIES. DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE AREN'T MANY BETTER OPTIONS AT CENTER IN THE NBA TODAY, I GUESS THE LAKERS SHOULD KEEP HIM. BUT, IF WE CAN ACQUIRE SOME MORE CONSISTENT BIG MAN AND SHIP HIM OUT, I'D BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SEE HIM GO. KWAME IS KWAME- HE SUCKED AS A WIZARD, SHOWED A LITTLE IMPROVEMENT AFTER COMING TO LA, BUT STILL HAS THE SAME KWAME ISSUES AS A LAKER [NO HANDS / OFFENSE IS WEAK / LACKS CERTAIN FUNDAMENTALS / INCONSISTENT NIGHT AFTER NIGHT / PLAYS WITHOUT MUCH PASSION / FT %???- HOW DOES ONE GO FROM SHOOTING AROUND 68% HIS FIRST THREE SEASONS TO SHOOTING A FT % OF 44% LAST YEAR?]... I DON'T SEE HIM IMPROVING MUCH AT ALL... AND I'M BITTER WE TRADED CARON BUTLER FOR HIM.
WELL I KEEP SAYING WE SHOULD LOOK AT KWAME LIKE A BEN WALLACE, HES A BETTER SCORER THAN BEN WALLACE BUT HE NEEDS TO BRING IT EVERY NIGHT, YOU KNOW WHAT I KINDA GIVE HIM A PASS THIS SEASON CAUSE THE GUY WAS JUST PLAGUED WITH INJURIES, I THINK IF NOBODY WANTS HIM AND THEY WANT TO OFFER CRAP FOR KWAME THEN I THINK THE LAKERS SHOULD KEEP HIM CAUSE WE KNOW WHAT HE CAN DO, OTHERWISE LETS PACKAGE HIM UP TO A TEAM THAT UNDERSTANDS WHAT KWAME BRINGS, IF WE ADD GRANT HILL AND GET ARTEST FOR A VERY CHEAP PRICE THIS TEAM GOES PAST THE 1ST ROUND AND STANDS A GOOD CHANCE IN THE 2ND ROUND, AND MAYBE PACKAGE THE PICK ALONG WITH SOME PLAYER TO GET A QUALITY POINTGUARD, AND IF THAT DOESNT DO IT THEN I THINK PHIL HAS LOST HIS TOUCH BUT I THINK THAT WOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH TO BATTLE IN THE PLAYOFFS BUT NOTHING IS GURANTEED LOOK AT THE SUNS, THE BULLS, THE MAVS!!

I BELIEVE THE BIGGER ISSUE FOR THE CARON TRADE WAS THAT BUTLER WAS GOING TO BE A RESTRICTED FA AT YEARS END, AND THE LAKERS FRONT OFFICE DID NOT VALUE HIM ENOUGH TO SIGN HIM TO A LONG EXTENSION/FAT CONTRACT- TO KEEP THAT CAP SPACE. MITCH CUPCAKE SAW THE LAKERS' LACK OF INSIDE PRESENCE, SO THEY NEEDED TO GO AFTER A BIG MAN. UNFORTUNATE FOR THE LAKERS. KOBE LIKED CARON AND PHIL LIKED CARON. I HATE THAT BUTLER WAS A LAKER FOR ONLY ONE YEAR.
IF THATS THE CASE THAN THERE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS IT WAS OBVIOUS CARON WAS THE SECOND BEST SCORER ON THAT TEAM, AND THEY TOOK A BIG BIG CHANCE ON KWAME WHO WAS BASICALLY ANOTHER PROJECT AS IF WE NEEDED ANOTHER PROJECT ON THIS TEAM, I BELIEVE THE DAVIS DEAL REQUIRED BUTLER OR ODOM BUT BUTLER WOULD HAVE PROBABLY BEEN ENOUGH BECAUSE THEY WERE GIVING HIM AWAY THEY JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF HIS CONTRACT FOR WHATEVER THE REASON AND THEY PULLED BACK CAUSE BARON GETS HURT TOO MUCH, WHAT A BUNCH OF GUTLESS LOSERS, JERRY WEST WOULD HAVE MADE THAT TRADE.

KWAMES'S INJURIES ARE A WHOLE 'NOTHER STORY. PERHAPS IF HE GOT INJURED ONLY ONCE IN A WHILE I'D LET IT GO. BUT HE SEEMS INJURY-PRONE IF YOU ASK ME. IF YOU LOOK AT HIS PAST 6 SEASONS, HE HASN'T EVEN PLAYED A FULL 82 GAMES YET. HE CAME CLOSE HIS SECOND YEAR... IN FACT KWAME HAS MISSED 26% OF PLAYTIME THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER BECAUSE OF INJURIES.
HOWEVER, AS I ALREADY MENTIONED THERE AREN'T MANY BETTER GUYS OUT THERE AT HIS POSITION. I DON'T LIKE MIHM MUCH, BUT I HOPE HE HELPS US OUT NEXT SEASON IF WE DECIDE TO KEEP BOTH FO THEM.

I PRAY THAT THE LAKERS FRONT OFFICE LEARNS FROM THEIR MISTAKES (SUCH AS THE ONES YOU'VE MENTIONED) AND GO AFTER SOME PROMISING PLAYERS. BUT, WITH THE JUNIOR 'BUSS'TERS (JEANIE Y JIM) SEEMINGLY MAKING A MAJORITY OF THE DECISIONS, THEY MAY JUST LACK THIS WISDOM AND CONTINUE THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL.

I agree with you, I wouldnt mind having chris wilcox instead, I think with kwame its all mental, they need to tell him look just focus on the rebounds and defense and dont worry about scoring and I think that would be a huge weight off his shoulders, I wouldnt mind making a huge blockbuster deal with the sonics bringing in rashard and wilcox and maybe even watson for who knows what or maybe forget rashard bring in the other 2 you would think they can manage at least that.

Well im not too worried as long as jerry buss is still around, and mitch probably does know his basketball but they overrule him, and if jerry west comes back as a consultant which I hear is very possible.

What the Lakers should have done was trade for Kidd at the deadline this year. He makes everyone better and he could have helped the Lakers advance past the first round of the playoffs this year.

I think they did the right thing by not giving in to the demand of trading andrew bynum, kidd would not have gotten them to a championship anyway, and I think giving up andrew bynum for kidd is too much, hes 34, and theres better players you can package bynum for, and who knows maybe now that they waited they will probably give up kidd for less, I agree I wish the lakers would have found away to get kidd and not give up bynum but they wanted bynum so I applaud the fact that they didnt give in to that, but if they end up giving bynum up anyways for J kidd then they totally screwed up, cause why didnt you just do that sooner, so we will see.

I DONT THINK YOUR WAY OFF ON KWAME THIS LAST SEASON IT WAS JUST A STREAK OF BAD LUCK THE GUY COULDNT STAY INJURY FREE, BUT I DO BELIEVE HE WILL GET BETTER AND I THINK HE ALREADY IS A KEY PLAYER SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE AGREES THE GUY IS A PRETTY DARN GOOD PHYSICAL DEFENSIVE PRESENSE AND YET THEY DONT WANT HIM CAUSE HE MISSES LAYUPS, WELL YOU KNOW WHAT HE WOULDNT HAVE TO TRY TO SCORE SO MUCH IF WE HAD A SOLID GROUP OF SCORERS AND IF LAMAR WOULD BECOME MORE OF A POST UP PLAYER, BECAUSE THIS TEAM IS SO INCONSISTENT WITH THEIR SCORERS KWAME IS FORCED TO TRY TO SCORE, AND THATS SOMETHING BEN WALLACE ISNT ASKED TO DO. SO ITS A BIT UNFAIR TO JUST SAY KWAME SUCKS, CAUSE I SEE A KEY PLAYER, THE ONLY THING KWAME LACKS IS IQ, AND SHOWING UP FOR EVERY GAME BUT EFFORT CAN BE FIXED, THE ONLY THING I DISAGREE WITH YOU ON IS THAT YOU POINT OUT THAT IT TOOK SHAQ EIGHT YEARS TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP, WELL IT ONLY TOOK HIM WHAT 4 YEARS TO GO TO THE FINALS, THE GUY WAS AMAZING FROM THE START SO I WOULDNT COMPARE KWAME WITH SHAQ BECAUSE SHAQ WAS A EVEN BIGGER MONSTER IN THE MIDDLE AND WITH THAT SIZE YOU BETTER BE ABLE TO DUNK OVER PEOPLE WHICH IS WHAT HE USE TO DO ALL THE TIME. FORGET ABOUT KWAME AS A SCORER THINK OF HIM MORE AS A DEFENSIVE PLAYER WHO CAN ALSO REBOUND CAUSE THATS WHAT I WANT FROM HIM, AND THATS BASICALLY ALL THE LAKERS NEED HIM TO DO, HE JUST NEEDS TO DO IT EVERY GAME, IF THE LAKERS KEEP HIM AND HES NOT BANGED UP THIS SHOULD BE HIS BIG CONTRACT YEAR TO DETERMINE WEATHER THE KEEP HIM OR NOT.
I ALWAYS COMPARE BYNUM TO SHAQ, DID NOT MEAN TO SOUND LIKE KWAME AND SHAQ. WHAT I MEANT WAS BYNUM. SOMETIMES WITH THIS STROKE MY WORDS DO NOT COME OUT LIKE I LIKE. BUT LIKE WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT KWAME. I AGREE. HE IS KEY TO ME. GOOO LAKERS.

THE TRIANGLE CANT BE THAT BAD CAUSE PHIL CAME IN AND WON THE FIRST YEAR WITH THE LAKERS, THATS WHY KOBE SAID THAT ROBERT HORRY WENT UP TO HIM AND ASKED HOWS IT GOING WITH YOUR TEAM ARE YOU GUYS RUNNING THE TRIANGLE? KOBE SAID YEAH BUT THEY ARE STRUGGLING WITH IT, AND HORRY SAID YOUR TELLING ME CAUSE THAT LOOKS LIKE A BERMUTA TRIANGLE OR SOMETHING, HE SAID HORRY TOLD HIM ITS JUST BASKETBALL ITS NOT THAT HARD, THATS WHY YOU NEED VETERANS WHO UNDERSTAND THIS GAME, AND THATS WHAT KOBE REALIZES NOW, GRANT HILL WOULD BE A GREAT FIT.
I BEEN WATCHING THE TRIANGLE WORK FOR ALMOST SEVENTEEN YEARS, I KNOW IT WORKS. BUT I DO KNOW SOME PLAYERS DO NOT LIKE IT. THEY TRIED TO GET LUE FROM THE HAWKS AND HE SAID NO. NOW IM NOT SURE IF IT WAS BECAUSE OF TRIANGLE BUT IF MEMORY SERVES IT WAS. BUT AGAIN I COULD BE WRONG.

THE ONLY REASON PLAYERS WOULDNT LIKE THE TRIANGLE IS IF THEY DIDNT UNDERSTAND IT, IT WORKS FOR KOBE AND HE HAS NO PROBLEM WITH IT BECAUSE HE UNDERSTANDS IT, ONCE YOU UNDERSTAND IT THEN I THINK THEY WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH IT BUT BECAUSE IT IS PROBABLY THE MOST DIFFICULT OFFENSE TO LEARN PLAYERS GET TIRED OF ALWAYS THINKING WHERE THEY HAVE TO BE AT ALL TIMES, THE TRIANGLE MIGHT BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE OFFENSE AROUND THATS WHY IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO LEARN, IT JUST CONFUSES TEAMS DEFENSES AND LEAVES A MAN OPEN ALL THE TIME IF YOU RUN IT RIGHT, WELL I WOULDNT MIND GETTING D FISH BACK HE UNDERSTANDS THE TRIANGLE AND HE WAS THE POINT GUARD THE LAKERS WON 3 CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH, NOT TO MENTION A CLUTCH SHOOTER AND A GOOD DEFENSIVE PLAYER, AND A GREAT LEADER HE WOULD HELP KOBE KEEP THESE GUYS THINKING STRAIGHT, WHILE KOBE IS A FLOOR LEADER D FISH IS THE BEST AT BEING A VOCAL LEADER.

I WONDER IF WE COULD WORK SOME KIND OF DEAL WITH THEM. THEY HAVE SOME NICE TALENT ON THAT TEAM. GOOOO LAKERS. NBA FOREVER
WOW- YOU TRULY ARE A FAN OF THE GAME! I CAN'T SAY I WATCH MANY OTHER BBALL GAMES BESIDES THE LAKERS, EXCEPT FOR SOME PLAYOFFS. I MOSTLY READ ARTICLES, WATCH SPORTSCENTER OR REVIEW STATS ABOUT OTHER NBA TEAMS AND PLAYERS. I ATTEND LAKERS GAMES A MINIMUM OF FOUR OR FIVE TIMES A YEAR. OVER THE PAST THREE YEARS I HAVE GONE TO WATCH THE SUMMER PRO LEAGUE, LAKERS ROOKIES AND SECOND-YEAR PLAYERS, AT CS LONG BEACH (IT'S AWESOME!)... I BET YOU'D DIG IT MOST BECAUSE YOU CAN PAY $10 AND ENJOY SOME GOOD BASKETBALL ALL DAY LONG!
AS FAR AS VIEWING SPORTS GOES, I SPLIT MOST OF MY TIME BETWEEN THE SD CHARGERS AND THOSE FABULOUS LAKERS.

YOU JUST SAID IT RIGHT THERE. UNDERSTANDING IT. BASKETBALL IQ. I THINK WHEN VLAD LEARNS IT LOOK OUT. MO TOO. ALSO YOU KNOW JORDAN STRUGGLED WITH IT FOR A FEW YEARS THEN IT KICKED IN. AND YES WE NEED FISHER BACK, IF JUST TO HELP THE GUYS LEARN THE TRIANGLE. THATS WHAT I LIKE ABOUT FARAMAR HE UNDERSTANDS THE TRIANGLE. PHIL KNOWS THIS TOO. IM SORRY I THINK KWAME DOES TOO. YOU SAID EARLIER HIS PROB IS MENTAL I AGREE. IM NOT GIVING UP ON HIM. HAVE GOOD FEEL ABOUT THE COMING YEAR. BUT I DO EVERY YEAR. GETS REALLY MAD AT ME IF I SAY ANYTHING ABOUT GETTING RID OF HIM. I JUST DO IT TO GET AT HIM. CAUSE I LIKE RONNY. YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT THE OTHER TEAMS. THERE IS SOME REAL GOOD GAMES. I DO LIKE THE BOBCATS. AND KNICKS. I REALLY HAVE ALOT OF RESPECT FOR THE KNICKS. THEY TOOK ALOT OF S[IT THIS YEAR. AND WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR SO NO SINCE IN GOING INTO THAT. I WILL SAY I LIKE LARRY BROWN AND ISIAH THOMAS, JUST A BAD SITUATION THE MEDIA BLEW UP. GOOOO LAKERS. THE MANY THE PROUD THE PURPLE AND YELLOW.

FUNNY YOU MENTION PIERCE. LAST WEEK IN CERES, CENTRAL CA. I SEEN THIS YOUNG KID WITH A CELTIC JERSEY ON AND IT WAS PIERCE. CELTS AND LAKERS ARE WHAT GOT ME GOING ON BASKETBALL BACK IN THE EIGHTIES. MAN O MAN WHAT A TIME THAT WAS. ALSO WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEEN PISTOL PETE. CHECK OUT HIS OLD FOOTAGE. NEVER GOT A RING, BUT DID HE HAVE SOME MOVES. ALSO SOME GREAT STATS IN COLLEGE. I CHECK INTO ALL THE GAMES THAT ARE PLAYING ON DISH NET NBA. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GONNA SEE. LIKE TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND. YOU CAN SEE SOME PLAYERS OUT THERE THAT YOU KNOW WOULD JUST BE GREAT ON OUR TEAM. I GUESS IN ANOTHER LIFE I WOULD WANT TO BE A SCOUT FOR TALENT. HA HA. JUST LOVE THE NBA THATS ALL. JUST BECAUSE A TEAM IS NOT GOOD, DOES NOT MEAN THERE PLAYERS ARE ALL BAD. THAT TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO FIGURE OUT. GOOOO LAKERS.
