Seven races into the season Kelly gets the boot supposed for the same reason Jr. has been struggling for last four or five years. What the Hell? "There wasn't any chemistry with the crew chief and crew". Using this a a yard stick, about how long ago should Jr. have been fire?

He has not drove that many races he sit out Daytona. I wonderted when they hired him how long it would last. He is going to have Steve Arpin in the 7 car next week at Dega. That's the glory of being a car owner you can hire and fire whenever you wish.Rick had the same choice Jr had.

What did you think of Aric Almirola, Mike Bliss, and John Wes Townley
getting the boot?I don't think Jr had anything to do with that.
Seems everyone is upset about Bires but not the others...

Kevin Harvick let Bires go last year. JRM should have taken that as a sign not to hire him in the first place but they wanted to give him a chance. I knew as soon as they announced Bires as the driver it wouldn't last. Smart move to end it now while the season is young.

i just read some articles and Aric Almirola left on his own to go back to the truck series and JWT was replaced by Bowyer because he was shaken up in a wreck in practice. i couldn't find anything about Bliss

Aric was replaced he had already been driving in the truck races. Chad
is in his car this week. Bliss got fired but got another ride with another team. John WSes Townley has missed last week and again this week. He was tearing up more cars than they could keep running. They still have him in the group but needed to talk with his sponsor and family. He had alread been nailed for drinking underage.

Actually, I'm not so sure that Almirola and Bliss were "let go" as much as they decided to go. John Wes Townley was tearing up more than anyone could keep fixed. Almirola and Bliss have been all over the place and haven't done anything significant other than the one truck championship for Bliss. My problem with JRM letting Bires go so fast had more to do with the excuse Jr. gave for his departure. A lack of chemistry or communications is one of those two way things, it takes two to tango.

If Bires couldn't do anything in Harvick's stuff, that should have been a big sign to Junior, Kelley, and whoever else right there. I just never had a feeling with him like it was going to last. I am excited about the Arpin guy, though.

Well, truthfully I hope Alpin works out for him. I would have thought trying to work through a communication problem with a driver would have been something of more significance to this particular team but maybe they thought it was something that was non-repairable. Someone that has required an untold amount of patience from others should be the first to show patience to others I think. If they thought Bires was good enough for the ride to bigin with, I just feel five or six weeks isn't enough time to decide he's a throw away. Hell, it's been five or six years for Jr.

Isn't it ironic for a guy who hasn't really produced (at the top level) in over five YEARS to fire a guy (in the minor level) after only five RACES.

I also find it ironic that when it comes to team chemistry it's KB fault and is fired, but in Jr. case they've changed EVERYTHING except the driver.

It's too bad KB last name isn't Earnhadt then he'd get a free pass too.

Ironic!
