Why, Jim. are you trying to pick a fight with me? I will oblige you my friend. But my question is ."why do you waste your time trying to "prove" your point to some one who cares less what you think or create in your discredit of Dale Earnhardt Jr."? Now pay attention cause I just wanna say this one more time for the last time. I am not a Jr fan. I am a racing fan. I think it is so silly and childish for what appear to be grown men, to carry on about one driver like Jrs doubters do. It is such an oddity for this small group of people to be so passionate of someones failure, sure, Jr hadnt had any good runs or luck on his side for sometime, its just not in my nature to kick someone when they are down. But thats what Jrs doubters do, they prey on him like he was some sort of prized kill. Im just amazed how you guys can make everything Jrs fault, there are 42 more drivers out there and they make mistakes to. Jr aint got the monopoly on bad luck. And for every Jr doubter on this Topix forum, I listen to what the experts say. There are no experts on this forum, just fans with an opinion. And Jim, Im not interested in yours. And you asked, what does FO mean. Well why dont you pick that apart and create something and let us know what you come up with. Go Mark Martin!!!!!!!!

It seems quite clear that you're the one with a chip on their shoulder.

I asked a simple question yet you are either unable or unwilling to answer.
ohsnap11 wrote:

I (unlike you) will answer your question.

I am NOT wasting my time trying to prove or discredit anything, the facts about Jr. speak for themselves.

I do believe you care (closet fan) or you wouldn't go to such lenghts to defend him.
ohsnap11 wrote:

Do you think it's silly for adults (Jr. included) to create excuse after excuse for him.

Exactly he hasn't run will in over SIX years and it's not "bad luck".

I don't make everything his fault, but his fans do make anything that happens to him someone elses fault.

Let's see who (or what) has been blamed for Jr. results.

Teresa Earnhardt, Tony Eury Jr., Rick Hendrick, Lance McGrew, his pit crew, NASCAR pit box rules, the color of his pit sign, etc.

I could go on and on, but I know I made my point.

For example Jr. being wrecked during the shootout is his fault. CE did hit him, but he placed himself in that situation. You call the video lame only because it proves my point and you wont admit it.

Jr rarely "helps" anyone else on the track, he expects others to help him, but when it comes to returning the favor, he's usually not there for them. Always been that way, he has a sense of entitlement, an attitude that he is the one they are supposed to be pushing to a win, not the other way around. Of course, all the drivers are out there to win, but most of the drivers are mature enough to know that working together can get you farther than snubbing the competition will, especially on a track like Daytona.
If he had moved up to "push" Kyle last weekend, he wouldn't have been back where he got caught up in that wreck. It was like he was lifting on purpose to avoid getting up behind Kyle. Sure wasn't a wise move on his part, but then, maybe that's why he's not winning championships.
Hey man. Are you going to the Truck race tonite? Come over to the Fan Zone after the race and it would be my pleasure to buy you one of those high priced beers over there. Im wearing a Mark Martin shirt and have a black hat with Sabian Cymbals on the front. I wont be near my lap top to much longer so hope to meet you there. This Truck Race should be good. Mark was fastest in practice, dont mean much when so many sat out practice or were working on their cars. This is gonna be a very weird 500!

That was a good race last night, At least these guys can still line up and move to the front with more than two cars. Enjoy the rest of the racing and the beautiful weather we are going to have through the weekend.

Congratulations Trevor Bayne on your Daytona 500 win, great job!! My driver Mark Martin got took out early in the big wreck.......bummer!! Good race!! Kyle Busch demonstrates his awesome driving ability and cudos to Ragan Smith, he ran a fine race. And Jr looked pretty good, came from the back and ran good all day till Ryan Newman had his wreck at the end. Good race, nice to see some new names in the mix!!

Hey Snap, yer guy Mark didn't do so bad, he did get wrapped up in that wreck but got it fixed up and came back for a 10th place finish. That's respectable, ain't it? Kyle had a great day, also. Was sorry to see Jeff Gordon knocked out of contention by that wreck after he had taken Bayne under his wing to start the race with the intention of working together. After watching the two work together in the Dual race, I secretly hoped that meant good things for Trevor, so when Jeff went out I feared that meant Trevor wouldn't be able to stay near the front. Guess I was worried needlessly. Congratulations to Trevor, what a kid!

I was not sure if I could stand 500 miles of the two-by-two-tango but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am looking forward to next Sunday when they can get to some real racing in Phoenix. Then we can start to see how well Junior will do with the new car, team, crew chief and garage. He did fairly well today, at least got to the front and led a few laps but he still was involved in a few scrapes, but to his credit, at least admitted that some of them were his fault in the post race interview. Ultimately, he still got himself into trouble before the finish and the end result didn't leave him with a score much higher than his team mates that had been taken out in the big wreck early on.

It will be an interesting season. I'm hoping to see a lot more of Trevor Bayne, maybe after today they will give him a ride for the full Sprint Cup season, it would be fun if he was fighting with the big boys for a spot in the Chase before the summer ends.

Sorry I missed you the other night, after the truck race. Didn't see your message here in time to meet up with you. Safe travels back home, friend and I look forward to arguing with you on the forum over how good Junior ain't! Maybe he will prove me wrong this year, but I doubt it!=) Stay cool!

Yeah, 10th aint bad considering what he had to endure, but I really wanted him to win. Who knows, this might have been his last Daytona 500, probably not but like I said, who knows. Im looking forward to KK driving for Hendrick but MM future seems kinda up in the air. Seeing that 21 car crossing the finish line first brought back lots of memories of DP. Trevor has a very bright future in NASCAR. Hendrick signed Bill Elliotts boy Chase, are we seeing a changing of the guard right before our eyes? Lots of new talent coming in, thats great!! Man, I had a huge time this past week!! Daytona puts on a good show for the fans. and I just want to thank Martina McBride for not screwing up the National anthem!!
