someone doubted Addington's call for 4 tires each time, but if they listened to the other drivers, they heard Loose loose Loose with 2 tires. None of the drivers appreciated them.. so Tony got what He liked BEST; being ABLE to pass on 4... then, when Tony had to go in again loosing track position, it turned out that tony reported a wobble so bad he would be unable to drive when it went green. So they went in, loosing track position.. Addington told Moody that the wobble was because the hub cap came loose... they fixed it and Tony made up all the ground he lost.. Imagine if the hub cap had not been knocked loose... Tony coulda duked it out with Brad for the WIN!!!
On to win a huge LOBSTA Smoke!!!

I agree with you but
I doubt he will win 5 chase races this year. Then will he fire
another crew chief?????

I agree. Personally, I'm surprised Addington's still got a job.

Tony's driving isn't what's being discussed here.

And more appropriately, it's called a bad business decision.

Remember that when your job performance far exceeds beyond what anyone, including your boss, thought possible - and then you get the news your services are no longer required.

So you take your skills and talent to a competitor and help them succeed, while the person hired to replace you makes excuses.

Tony and Darian were rarely on the same page anyway, and Darian made many mistakes...

Of course Darian has made mistakes - who hasn't? But I really doubt the manner in which he led the 14 team to the Championship last year will ever be matched. That was an incredible rebound from a season when Tony doubted in Aug they would even make the Chase.

what you seem to FORGET is that PRECHASE last year Tony did not even feel they deserved to be IN the chase and that was because the team gave up so many shoulda coulda wouldas because Darian goofed in the pits... that is FACT.. look it up..
then Darian obviously either was TOLD what to do concretely,, or he quit being wishy washy, being told he was GONE prechase.. I remember Tony saying to him one time prechase " you gotta tell ME what we're gonna do"

Tony likes having Zippy and Addington because THEY, if you listen to the radio this year, do not EVER have things up in the air.. they have a PLAN....
I do not know if Tony has it in him to put forth another championship, or if he even gives a daggone about NASCAR anymore.. he is winning on dirt and he doesn't have anyone telling him can't race on dirt to his hearts desire.. and THAT is what makes HIM happy... IF Tony WANTS to win,,, he can drive like he did last week, passing more cars than anyone else all day long and without getting screwed for pitting prior to a caution coming out,, he coulda been up there duking it out with BRAD

so,, does a wheelman get ANY credit with you??? or just the guy who makes calls to either run people out of gas or not???
all drivers are NOT equal.. I do not know how many races you have been to,, but Tony is definately the BEST driver on the track... Brad is on par with him.. but the rest... they do not have the same talent.. plain and simple... if this were not true, I would not be a Tony/Brad fan... because RACING is what it is all about afterall.

Try posting something from Newsmax. This place is rife with one-sided politics. Topix is a cesspool. And just as bad as the lamestream media! I hope it implodes!

It's a team sport - just like baseball, basketball, football, hockey - you only give credit to your favorite drivers.

You're entitled to your opinion, as long as you know that's all it is. And you need to remember the rest of us do too. By pretending that you're giving facts, you do a great disservice to the other teams. And the sad thing is, I think you really believe the stuff you write is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the only truth.

Denny just went out to qualify at NH, waiting and watching all the other guys go out,, he is lucky he did not wreck because the air pressures in his tires were for RACING, not qualifying.. now,.,,, is this the fault of award winning crew cheif darian??? and is THIS stuff the reason Tony politely and kindly let Darian go find himself a new team to sabotage????????

that happens to be because my eyeballs are connected to my BRAIN and I do not WAIT for some idiot to tell me what happened on the track.. this year you admit how often you miss most of a race or fall asleep... if I did THAT,, I too might fall victim to the opinions NASCAR wants me to have.

I do hope you're NOT calling Catrod "some idiot". If people listen to you, everyone is in on a conspiracy or a member of the illuminati or NASCAR is throwing phoney cautions for phoney drivers...etc. etc. etc.
I'm with what's-her-face. You were much more fun when you were going after the liberals. And sometimes you do NOT act like your brain is connected to anything!

If you call taking your team to the Chase every year it's been in business, and winning the Championship in 3 tries "sabotage" - then yes, Darian is guilty

I call one of the top crew chiefs in Nascar!

Make no mistake, I don't let anyone tell me what to think. If I did, I would believe it's perfectly ok for Tony to throw helmets and grab another man's wife bottom and call it good luck. I'm not naive enough to believe every word that Tony says, especially when he tries to explain controversial actions.

FYI, more often than not when I'm watching the race, either at the track or at home, I can make the call before the announcer does. And what I miss on tv is either because I'm catching up on paperwork from the office, or fell asleep because the race wasn't interesting enough to keep me awake.
