Looks like the #11 team learns from their mistakes - Denny not only recovered from qualifying poorly last week to win, but sits on the pole today.

Tony, not so lucky, starting back 20-something. I hope this isn't a repeat of the June race.

BTW, I also read where Zippy is considering moving Tony Gibson to Danica's CC in 2013. Hope they hire a great replacement for Ryan - he's had to do the best he could with what they've given him to work with and deserves better.

at Dover, the qualifying times are basically within a half second of each other from pole to last.. It is a pity that especially during chase time, there can be guys who qualify well in order to GET INTO A RACE but will cause wrecks because they should not be on the track and are start and parks. Hope and pray nothing happens to take out a bunch of competitors this week. There is not a thing worse in being a race fan than to go to a track and have your guy get wrecked early like happened in the spring to Tony and 14 others...

as for the Gibson to Danica deal,, I am SURE Zippy and Tony already HAVE a GREAT crew chief lined up for Ryan.. I was HOPING the announcement scheduled for Tuesday would be that Bass Proshops was on board next year between Ryan and Tony...I hope this crew change is not the only news for SHR on Tuesday
Ryan qualifed well and has run so much better since the chase started.. I am excited for him.. he might just get another win this year.

dear Andy Petrie... no.. it does NOT all work out when to go down pit road, they have to be so slow while the other guys are still RACING,, the guys who pit prior to the caution coming out, giving the leaders a FREE RIDE, puts the rest at least another lap DOWN... do you understand Petrie????????
the DRIVERS and crew even call it LUCK.... which NASCAR has got to take OUT of their idiotic "sport" COUNT Caution laps in other worlds...

why is NASCAR SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO concerned about only 8 cars being on their "lead lap"? because Jr is not on that lead lap.. but do not fear, he has been told by Stevie to put the pedal to the metal so he can get in place for the timely caution to be called for phantom debris when he gets there... then the same can be done for Kasey... so then we can go green the rest of the day since all the HMS cars will be on the lead lap...so the idiot commentators can praise HMS for being SOOOOO good and as usual the fans will lap it up

just turned this crap on and what a shock, only lap 79 and all but 8 cars are a lap down, Tony's hopelessly riding around in 20-somethingth place, at least half the grandstands are empty, and the camera is staying on Jr. all the way around the track. typical BS race I've come to expect from Dover through the years. peace out NasCRAP, I have better things to waste my afternoon on.

I hope you watched long enough to find out how that happened. They were all taking green flag pit stops when a caution, a legitimate caution, came out. Tony and 6 other Chasers got caught a lap down. Nobody's fault - just a risky chance you have to take. Personally, I'm not sure Tony's car is good enough to recover. He was only about a second from being lapped before that happened anyway.

I really hope Kyle can hold the lead all the way - he deserves it. If not, I hope Denny can get back up there - I really don't want to see JJ win.

I heard the announcers doubting Darian's call on this, but when they did take the left sides off they had to admit they looked pretty good.

isn't it HILLARIOUS that the announcers want to blame JJ for his tire shredding causing the caution when pit stops were so close to being completed that first time??? doesn't it seem that in all honesty, those who did not PREPARE... those who WAITED to go in should be the ones PENALIZED??? I am sick and tired of this CRAP with a caution coiming out, keeping guys DOWN an entire lap because THEY went IN as SCHEDULED..
COUNT CAUTION LAPS NASCAR.. your BORING races are long enough to COUNT CAUTION LAPS.. no more penalizing those who went in before some other guys tire shreads.

In pre-race show with Rusty/Brad/Ray, they agreed as soon as Matt announced he wouldn't be back with Roush any chances he had of having a decent race flew out the window. How sad - he did make the Chase and his team deserves a decent shot at the Championship.

They're talking fuel mileage race now, and it doesn't look good for JJ/KB/DH. BK is running 4th, but can go all the way. I don't want to see either JJ or BK in VL.
