I am very new on the topix boards and I am a
Tony Stewart fan.As a fan I FULLY understand that Tony will look at dating a fan when Hell freezes over, but it is sad to see pro athletes have the romance habits that they have. I just have two words for every single nascar driver out there, Tim Richmond. As far as Tony's attitude he is a celebrity and his attitude sucks. He may not have been spoiled in the early years but he is now, he knows he can have what he wants at any time, and he is getting used to not being told no to anything. He is nice to fans alot of the time becuase he has to be and he should be. What these drivers may forget is that technically we sign their paychecks and put food on their tables. After all alot of their income comes through merchandise sales. That is why i refuse to buy alot of Tony stuff, cause he gets to live in a log mansion and I am a college student with an average family, living in an average 4 bedroom home.I know ya'll could probably give a crap less what I have to say, but before you argue about who he is dating and all that bs remember HE WILL NEVER DATE YOU because YOU ARE A FAN, and unfortunately he looks at us for the majority of time as the people who buy his products and sign his checks.

OMG.. you mean he will NEVER date me.. WHAT??? Then why do I spend all of my time here.. OMG, I'm crushed...YAWN!

Thanks for your enlightening speech. Personally, I prefer to be average.. less BS. I do have to wonder.. if he's only nice to the fans because he has to be as you believe, then what is the difference between Tony and a gold digger.

Follow me on this one---From what you posted, it appears that Tony is nice to his fans to get their money in order to support the lifestyle that he has become accustomed to living.

A gold digger is nice to a rich man so that she can get to his money in an attempt to live a priviledged lifestyle. I don't see a difference, do you??

Anywho, I'm not a Tony fan.. I am a Dario fan..
Wait, that means I may have a shot at a date, right??? LOL..

So are you a fan or not sounds like you need to find a driver that you think alittle more highly of. The man did not have invite me to talk to me for 2 hours nor have them pull a seat up at the signing table so I would not have to stand the whole time. Nor thank me for my serves to this nation, but he did.

I admire the man's ability, but he scares me. I would never bother him for an autograph. An interesting story, I once was out to dinner with a bunch of my girlfriends, and this guy joined us for dinner. He was a nice gentleman. None of that ow baby you want a pit pass junk. Anyway, he said things about Mr. Stewart that honestly made me feel a bit sorry for him. But I digress, I told the man that he scared me; I would be afraid to approach him. His reply was, "You're too pretty; he would be nice to you." Geez, what if you're and ugly woman. Just seems a bit supperficial.

Depends on your definition of "date". I have a feeling he has "dated" several fans. Whether he will marry one is yet to be seen.

Hey-I am 50 years old and no Pamela Anderson (if yo get my drift) yet he was extremely nice to me on three separate occasions. And, no of them were at schedules autograph signings.

So, he may be rude at times-aren't we all? But he isn't rude every time!

NOOOO.. being above average takes too much work. Not to mention that people expect more from you when you are above average. To me, that sounds like a lot of BS.

Truthfully, I'm disappointed in myself. I was trying to be below average but I keep missing the mark. Ah, to dream the impossible dream.:P

You only want Telly for his lollipops..lol

No, I dont want to date Tony Stewart. I think he is interesting away from the track, I'd like to hang out with him and have a beer, maybe go fishing or ride on a 4 wheeler. I think he has a great sense of humor, bad taste in women, and is adorable. I will continue to buy his products- I dont decorate my house with it though. I dont sign his check, Home Depot and Joe Gibbs do that. Maybe he does get whatever he wants, but he also cares about those less fortunate. Have you ever sen him or listened to him talk about Victory Junction, or seen him with children that are ill? He still knows where he came from and worked very hard in his early years to be able to do what he absolutely loves. I dont think he takes anything for granted and knows it could end tomorrow. I will always be a fan of Tony Stewart, but I dont want to date him!!! PS- sorry if I'm out of the loop, but who is Tim Richmond?

Tim Richmond was a NASCAR driver back in the 80s who lived a life of partying and fast women. He contracted AIDS and it eventually killed him.

Not sure what your point in all this is. Not sure if you just have too much time on your hands or what.

But there are fans of Tony who don't want to date him. Fans who are fans just because he is a Superior Driver behind the wheel of a race car. Any race car.

As far as whether he is nice to fans because he has too, I really think you are off the mark. Tony has stated many times he enjoys being around his fans. Especially away from the race track. Granted at the track, is probably not the best place to approach him, unless he is finished for the day.

Because like he has said many times, when he is at the track he is there to do his job. And it seems that when Tony is at the track he has a one track mind. And signing autographs is not on the top of his list. Granted there are other drivers who do sign autographs. One of the best drivers who ever raced was Richard Petty. Richard Petty would stay hours after a race and sign every autograph that any fan wanted.

There are not many drivers who do that any more.

First off, You talk about me coming out of the wood work. I have been casually reading this board for years and never seen you post. Like I said, I was out with friends and this guy just showed up. Yes, we ate our dinner; he ate his at the table in a restaurant and I went to my house alone. I do not know where he went and do not care. I am a lot of things, but not the tramp you are insinuating I am. As I said, I admire the man's ability. I did not say one ugly word about him, just that I would find him rather intimidating to bother when he is in public. But for your information, if more fans wouldn't bug the man to death; he would probably not have to be so intimidating. I for one do not feel he owe's me an autoghraph because I bought his tee shirt. I am outa here. I made one comment and get acused of who knows what with one comment. Geez, will not bother you again.
