It seems to me your post #4 is somewhat fact-based, somewhat speculation-based. Guess I didn't answer it the way you wanted me to, or to your satisfaction. Here is the quote I think you referenced:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v =91u-e-m4sjoXX
While Tony admits initiating this payback, he obviously did not damage Vickers car enough to end the race. In the incidents between Stewart/Vickers and Bowyer/Gordon, it was clearly Vickers and Gordon with the killer instincts.
Yes, I very much think Gordon deserved to be suspended. He was either black flagged or knew he was about to be. In addition to his actions involving a Chase driver with a good chance of finishing at least 2nd in the 2012 season he is also responsible for wrecking the 20 and 43. I didn't hear that other drivers got involved in the Stewart/Vickers incident, but they had plenty to say about Gordon.
If you are insinuating that I do hold Tony to those same standards, you are mistaken. I was one of the first proponents who felt he should be penalized for throwing his helmet, and feel Nascar set a bad precedent for not taking action on that little temper tantrum. However, I respect the way Tony and Matt worked out their differences and have since raced respectably. I also think it's interesting that beginning in 2013 Matt will drive the car Tony walked away from.
I forgot to mention . I believe Tony made the same threat to Matt K. this yr . To lazy to look it up. LOL

Jr has never deliberately targeted another driver and sent him into the wall on purpose. And you keep bringing up the incident when he spun himself out, I believe he had a tire going down anyway and there was no one else around him. There's a huge difference between him and that cocked and loaded gun Kyle.

Judging by qualifying it doesn't look like the Chase and 2012 season will end on much of an exciting note. Only 4 chasers in the top 10 and I think last week they said even if the 48 wins the race the 2 car only needs to finish 15th.
Looks like another long Sun afternoon drive for the 14, and I have no idea why the 11 qualified on owner points.
I'm not expecting anything to happen between the 15 and 24 .... tomorrow. I hope when the 15 does retaliate it will be when it can really hurt the 24 and I think he's a good enough driver to make it look like just a racing incident.
The 11 was bottoming out really badly going to the line to qualify,, who knows if his air pressures were once again set up for racing?
but... The thing Brad has to worry about is who does Rick Hendrick, thug, mobster have in his pocket??? One race, Clint Bowyer chose to push Jimmie johnson past Brad to get that win... will bowyer be in HMS pocket again tomorrow??? will his owner Mikey have to be on the side with Rick Hendrick for whatever reason??
Will the worst driver on the track in a decent car,, namely Jeff Gordon use his wreck causing abilites to collect the 2 car as he tried last week???? he caused the wreck with his teamate Kasey to give jimmie that last restart in order to STEAL that win a couple of races ago...
Brad has zero friends on that track.. zero.. dodge is leaving the sport and he has a single teamate... Brad is going to have to be AWESOME for the championship to NOT go to a FRAUD once again...
IF Brad pulls this off, he deserves the SAME respect Tony got last year..
I watched qualifying and it was so NICE to hear the announcers saying complementary things about all the drivers.. not just jimmie and jeff...it was SO NICE of them to speak NICELY about JJ Yeley...
IF the tone of the announcers changes due to jimmie making a fool of himself by being a mere mortal and suffering the exact SAME things other drivers face each race,, a Brad Championship will be the SHOT in the arm of HONESTY NASCAR needs.IMO

I stand by my previous answers. Usually as soon as the driver is out of the car, or infield care center, cameras and microphones are shoved in their face, hoping his comment snowballs into future interviews and articles. I feel confident that all comments focus on irresponsible driving and retaliation by possibly wrecking another driver's car, never personal physical harm.

Tony's comment referred strictly within the confines of racing and it's ridiculous to think he's issuing a threat to anyone's life, and even more so for you to think it could be considered evidence should ever a racing incident have tragic results.

And, what happened in Daytona 2001 and Phoenix 2012 can not even be compared. It doesn't matter how many decades you consider yourself a race fan, the rest of us are still entitled to our opinions and it doesn't make us wrong or not a real race fan.

What the hell are you talking about. He, Jr. himself, said he brought out the caution deliberately. Guess no matter who it is, they should never, ever touch Jr.

Did Jr. at one Nationwide race get into the back of a car that had hit the car he sponsored in retaliation for that driver wrecking his driver? I suppose no one should ever get into Jr. No one made mention of a tire going down as you believe it was happening.

Hmmm...spinning yourself out vs. sending someone into the wall on purpose. Actually, I'm responding to the parrot's lameass comments about Jr, For example, Jr's speech which is pretty much how guys with roots in Kannapolis sound anyway btw. So I don't even know why you're chirping in on this anyway....oh yeah, I do.

So you R saying if SMOKE made good on a threat . I will move a driver if they get in my way. And the next race Smoke makes good on the threat he moves the driver out of the way . The driver dies as a result Its perfectly OK.Fine
I am not surprised you would answer this way.LOL But I still say Drivers making public verbal threats to wreck a driver is stupid & dangerous .ROTFLMFAO I knew people on here would let Smoke get away with murder.

You better go back & listen to the words coming out of SMOKE mouth . I do not care if it was Ryan N if he blocks me I will dump him. I will dump ANY DRIVER THIS YEAR IF THEY TRY TO BLOCK ME. I still say if Smoke or any driver makes good on a threat I WILL DUMP ANY ONE THAT BLOCKS ME. Then SMOKE makes good his promise and dumps the driver blocking him and killing the driver. You may think it OK. But I do not. I think the biggest problem on here is people think Dale Sr was the last driver to be killed . The COT is a perfectly safe race car. YEAH right !!! People there is NO such thing as a perfectly safe race car. The sad pt is a driver will have to be killed before anyone on here will believe it.
