Tony has said the secret to his success is surrounding himself with good people. I hope his marketing staff is at the top of the game!

1st question would be . How will this affect RN. Ryan does not have a primary sponsor. Now Tony needs one . Its going to be tough . But something will come along. The bad thing for Ryan is.... most of the available spots have been filled.

Even C B Lange was shocked when she asked RC if the rumor was true. And he told her yes.

Maybe he sees the handwriting on the wall?! I wouldn't be surprised if old man Childress makes it entirely a family affair eventually with Dillon and Ty. Talk about having everything handed to them!!! Those kids have got to be rotten!

I think you've hit the nail on the head! RC already has them in the #3 in Nationwide and Truck series. I'm still convinced Austin's actions in Indy were no accident.(and technically, aren't they teammates?)

But everybody else watch out - Kyle will tell you grandpa will try to take you out if you have a run in with one of his little grandsons on the track. I can't imagine anything more embarrassing than to have my grandpa fight my battles for me!

Considering Tony's decision last year about this time regarding Darian, I wouldn't be surprised if he's already released Ryan and we don't hear about it until the day after the Chase is over.

That would be a good move for him. With Matt taking the #20 ride, I'd read that Joey was offered fulltime Nationwide and was fine with that until Penske showed interest in him for the #22. Both Joey and Elliott are having a great year in Nationwide.

I can't help but wonder how long Office Depot has been considering this, and their timing, of this decision?

Tony has taken OD to the Chase every year they have sponsored him, and to the Championship last year.

It seems like an extreme decision coming a week after the helmet throwing incident, but that can't help but cross my mind.

Before sponsoring the #14, OD sponsored the #99 for a number of years, so they've been a strong Nascar sponsor for some time. Has anyone heard if they are pulling out completely, or going to another car like Burger King did?

IMO that would be another bad SHR decision. Tony hasn't shown any more consistency this year than Ryan has. And, when the #14 team doesn't perform to his expectations, heads roll. I haven't heard of any crew changes on the #39 team - maybe even since its inception.

Smoke is a great driver, but, with his reputation, Coors or Hooters or Jack Daniels would be a better fit as a sponsor than OD. As Old Spice was.

And thank you so much for making me smile this morning. You gave me a visual of old man Childress all red in the face with his fists up, ready to pummel anyone who dares trade a little paint with his precious pups...lol.

I think office Depot does not approve of such
tantrums as Tony threw. I think they will sponsor some other team.Tony better shape up or he might have a empty paint job on his car. Maybe the big wigs calling the shots will SPONSOR him....lol

poor Tony... the Illuminati pull the rug out of the American economy, hopefully he did not have to sell his soul to own that half of SHR.. This sponsorship leaving is not surprising and if anyone thinks there will even BE another racing season next year,, I pray for you to wake up...

Office Depot's stocks are down, that's why they left Tony...... Not the entertaining helmet throw.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Capricorn

You're keen to look on the bright side of things and to ignore anything unpleasant or worrying. That's fine, provided that you're ready to face up to life's difficulties again tomorrow. But it's not such good news if you persist in looking the other way whenever a problem presents itself, especially if it's connected with your work or health. It may be time to face a few facts, Capricorn.
