Following last Sunday's race at Dover the #2 car was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4J (any determination by NASCAR officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules); and 20-12.8.1B (the car failed to meet the minimum front car heights during post-race inspection) of the 2013 rule book. BK docked 6 pts, Penske docked 6 owner pts, and crew chief Paul Wolfe has been fined $25,000 and will remain on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31.
Man, on Wolfe's first race back from suspension. I really had a lot of respect for him after the 2012 season, but it seems this year he can't stay out of trouble. After both Penske teams got hit with penalties after TX, I wonder if he's taking a bullet for higher ups at Penske?
Makes me wonder howe much cheating he got by with last year to win the chsampionship.

I've watched and re-watched the clips on You Tube. Blaney was ahead of the incident, not in the way.
Thank you for making the point that the 39 car repeatedly let the 38 know he was there, and that Gilliland chose not to show track etiquette to a faster car.
It is totally absurd for anyone to think, and actually put in print, that Ryan was mad so he intentionally wrecked himself! He's carried SHR all season!
This year both the 14 & 39 are struggling with sponsorship issues. If SHR doesn't renew Ryan's contract in 2014, it won't be the first mistake they've made.
I was repeating what they said on tv that Blaney was holding them up. The hub people did not think to much of Ryans fit.,

I know, the Fox announcers put the blame on him too. It's all in the perception, and I guess I saw it another way.

Brad's crew chief was supposed to be on probation but he only got fined. Why put them on probation if they are not going to inforce it.Nascar has a poor way of doing things. If it had been anyone else they would have stuck to what probation means. For some I guess its nothing.......

Oh Yes they are better.
They have already got caught cheating twice this season.Brad's
crew chief should have his butt off that pit box he was already
on probation when getting caught the second time.

Jimmie has been caught MORE Than Brad. So Who's the bigger cheater?? I also didn't realize having a broken part was cheating.

I didn't understand how Brad could have gotten penalized for a broken part, but Nascar gave the 48 time to correct its problem. What does that tell you?

Then why was the crew chief fined and Brad had points removed.

I don't know if it was fixed, but it was given time to correct its problem, whatever it was, whatever was wrong with the car. There wasn't too much written about it and, to tell you the truth, I don't remember just where I read it.
