I still do not know why these comments continue re JG and JJ...don't you all have some yardwork or something else to do? Is your goal to breakup their friendship? You are wasting your time!

You are so right. johnson isn't half of what Jeff is . Whoever posted that johnson is twice as good is an idiot. Plus, I still don't think 48 won fairly. Too much evidense to the contrary. If he wins in 2008 then there is no WAY HE AIN'T CHEATING. wHICH I certainly believe now.

Jimmie is good, right now he's got the edge because he is hungrier and willing to take chances, similar to Jeff earlier in his career, that the more mature Jeff is no longer willing to take. Unfortunately for Jeff, consistency ( a season's worth) isn't what wins titles. A 10 race charge does. Jimmie went balls out where Jeff played it safe. I'm not impressed with Letarte's lack of focus either. He missed leaving Jeff out an extra lap 4 time which would have been an additional 20 points. I know that's not enough but those are the details Knaus doesn't miss and why Jimmie was champ instead of Jeff. Was really pulling for Jeff this season, used to be a Jimmie fan as well but after he and Jr took each other out and blamed Vickers, I lost all respect for him. Can't stand drivers who figure everyone's always got to make room for them and don't reciprocate.

There are generally 2 kinds of racer... Cheaters and losers... The losers are always calling the winners CHEATERS.
Racing is half about pushing the grey, if you're not then you're not gonna be winning.

I think a fairer comparison of these two would be a comparison of each's first six years in Cup.
Wins-Jeff 42 Jimmie 33
Top 5's-Jeff 100 Jimmie 86
top 10's-Jeff 122 Jimmie 134
Poles-Jeff 23 Jimmie 13
Championships-Jeff 3 Jimmie 2
It will be interesting to see what Johnson's figures are after being in the 14 full seasons. It is plain to see these two are the most productive drivers to come into NASCAR in the last 25 years but to say Johnson is twice as good as Gordon is a stretch, a mighty big stretch. As in Jeff's first six seasons, I think Jimmie's success in his first six can be credited to his crew chief almost as much as to the driver himself. As for cheaters and losers, any teams that isn't stretching every rule to find an advantage is a loser. The correct term is inovation. When you stop trying, you stop winning and in the words of Vince "Winning is everything".

Say What.. I can't see where you come up with JJ taking out Dale Jr. It was so clear it was Vickers fault. We saw it so many times on replay.

Go Jimmie !

Watch the view from Jr's bumper-cam right at the end of the video. Watch the white line, Jr tries to block Johnson, Johnson Checks up, there was nothing Vickers could do.

Why aren't there more Jimmie Johnson fans? I think that it's because Jimmie is confused. He can't drive on a track that curves to much. I bet he gets fired soon.
He is too intense and more reserved than the other drivers. He needs to lighten up some.

Some interesting observations, agree with most of what you say re; Jimmy's hunger vs Jeff's maturity.
I liked Brian at Hendrick, think he has a bright future once they sort out their cars.

I don't believe that Johnson is twice as good as Gordon. I will agree with you there. But I'm curious about what evidence you're talking about. Please elaborate.
