NASCAR suspends Aric Almirola's Crew Chief Todd Parrott
NASCAR has indefinitely suspended Todd Parrott, the crew chief for Sprint Cup Series driver Aric Almirola, for violating its substance-abuse policy.

This is unfortunate. I always liked this guy. Great personality. It was funny when they interviewed him a few weeks ago, and he kept referring to the series as the Nextel Cup Series lol

Are non driver team members drug tested? Or did this come about after an arrest....
I did not know crew members had substance testing...

Anyone involved in NASCAR that comes into the pits are subject to testing, even the team owners. NASCAR does some random testing but most testing is done based to some reason that has come to NASCAR officials attention. That Todd would be involved in drugs is surprising but at least he has already announced that he is enrolling in the rehab program to gain his NASCAR credentials back. Hey Jeremy, are you paying attention? This is the way it's done.
