Hamlin wins pole for Atlanta Cup race

Mired in a bit of a midseason slump, Hamlin showed signs of turning things around by claiming the pole for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race with a speed of 187.380 mph.

Hamlin got the pole but Tony needs a win to get him jump started otherwise he will be mid pack when they reset.

well, this is going to be fast race and perhaps a boring race because there will be few cautions and the field will get strung out.. if Hamlins car is good,, he will have such a huge advantage that he will win this race... I see Denny hamlin as the favorite to unseta Jimboob as champ this year...
Tony will be midpack in the chase. Hamlin and Johnson start 50 points ahead of the rest as it is...those 2 will have to have trouble to not be in the lead the entire chase..I fear the 48 team might be playing oppossum.....I hope not.. I hope the golden horse shoe is GONE...
but with the economy, this very well MIGHT be the LAST season for our favorite sport... I think these guys are going to be racing harder than ever for this championship... after the taxes kick in, sponsors are going to be few and far between... Obama SUCKS!!!
