If you are afraid of what you might hear then don't listen. Don't buy track pass or a scanner. You must also realize that all this being said is at the heat of moment. If other sports did the same thing it would probably be worse. Can you imagine what is said in the pile on an NFL field? They would have to tape delay it and then bleep out 90% of it. These drivers are all amped up for three and a half hours so you can imagine the adrenaline rush going on in those cars. Hell, average Joe loses his cool at home under minimal pressure and we consider that normal!

ESPN seems to have a "tabloid" mentality about what to air and what not to air. It's one thing to be sitting in the stands and listening on a scanner OR you buy TrackPass or whatever to listen in but when it's going across the open public airways, there are people who aren't expecting to hear the drivers rant. Steve Byrnes said that the producers at FOX will give things to the booth and let them decide if it should air or not. With Dale Jarrett in the booth, I'm thinking the announcers don't get a say on what is replayed. Dale Jarrett is the only smart thing ESPN has done since they came back into the sport. Can't wait for FOX to take back with the new season.
