thats not right, Sterling should not have to give up the points he earned to get a safe spot in races to some one who will not be able to keep them in the top 35. He shouldn't have to give up his well earned points to anyone.

Sterling didn't have to give up his points to anyone. Sterling still has his points. The points that went to the Menards car was the "owner" points from the car Sterling had been driving. Sterling still has his driver points that he has earned this year and will carry them to whatever team he goes to this year.
