They may want to rethink which car they advertise on. Recent studies have shown that the average IQ of National Guard recruits has fallen sharply in the last 4 years, while IQ's for recruits in all other branches of the military remain unchanged.

Actually, Military sponserships are something Ive disagreed with from the git go. that money should be spent on Military needs. As an old soldier myself, I would hate to think any soldier is doing without anything he or she needs because of a racing sponsership. Im sure they fix things to where it dont appeasr{the money} like its not government money but we all know, bottom line, it is. Im glad Jrs got a sponser but I dont like that its Military. It cost money to put National Guard on Jrs car and its Military money, thats just wrong in this old infantry dogs eyes!!

I see your point, and agree somewhat, but the fact remains that you need to recruit for a volunteer military. If you don't advertise and get replacements, some poor bastards end up getting their TOD's extended. They've been spending millions on advertising for years, but I think that targeting NASCAR fans lets them concentrate on the demographic they're after.

I understand what your saying, very valid point. But its still tax dollars, that kinda rubs me, I aint tryin to be an ass, I just dont agree with spending tax dollars like this, especially in this economy. I think you told me you were a military man yourself, I wasnt career, just a fightin man in Germany. I get the fact that they have to advertise, Ill just have to think on it a while and come to some kinda peace with it, its my hangup. JNMML, I aint had a raise in my social Security in two years, nobody has. Senate and Congress votes themseles nice raises and the price of everything is just astronomical anymore. Im really concerned how every penny of the tax dollars is spent.

I hear you. Yeah, I served 7 years as a tank mechanic, all peace-time, never fired a live round at another living person, which is OK too, I guess. What unit did you serve with in Germany?

And every penny has been paid back with interest. I didnt like it when it was going on. But GM has been redeemed, they are an honest company, they paid us back in full plus some, what more can we ask? I believe in forgivness. And look at the folks who got to keep the jobs they have had for years and stay in their homes. It was a positive thing and your an ass for trying to make a negative out of it. What are you doing?? Following me around on here?? I cant comment on nothing without you being right in there with your worthless two cents worth. You wanna argue? I can do that!! So, give it hell thunderchickenMan, Mr Debby Downer! What other kind of BS you got to spout off about?? Your a real brainchild there thunderChickenMan. Bill who???

The banks weren't lending Sparky, where else were they going to get the money? Or perhaps you'd have prefferred that another 5 million jobs go permanently away in Manufacturing? The type of jobs that actually have good benefits and good starting salaries? The former bedrock of our country.

I hear the excuse that the volunteer army needs to advertise for recruitment. Not really. Not with unemployment so high. Perhaps instead of advertising this money should go to something worth while, such as some new hospitals for our VA patients without mold.

Take some time and do some real research and you'll find out that your government still owns part of GM! What makes GM an honest company? I guess having 4 CEO's in the past 18 months makes them a well run company too.

Think about the former bedrock of your country the next time you make a purchase at WalMart.

Bill who????? Happens to be Bill Elliott, the holder of the fastest official lap ever in Nascar. You know the one who is still out there having fun, racing a bit, helping his son, racing at Eldora in a couple of weeks. Because your too stupid to remember his name I'll tell you once again Bill Elliott.
Bill Elliott only won 44 Cup races but he won them fairly. Unlike his arch rival who did the bump and run or smash and steal on many competitors, Bill won his the fair way by beating the others with racing talent, car preparation, strategy and a bit of racing luck.
Once again old timer, Bill Elliott is his name the guy who sat on the pole for the best Nascar race in history, the 2001 Daytona 500 and he finished 5th that day. The best day in all of Nascar racing.

I think you might remember that race old timer, some one got hurt. I think. Dale Who??????????
Some white trash nation driver??????????
